First off, this isn’t your standard Mexican spot that has free chips & salsa (you can order these). However, they do provide chicharonnes (very similar to pork rinds) to snack on while waiting on your meal. Soooo yummy and so satisfying to crunch crunch crunch. 😊 Don’t expect to find a numbered menu here either because this isn’t that kinda place. Again, it’s authentic. What did I get? I got an asada (steak) huarache. If you notice, it’s shaped similar to a sandal hence the name. It’s made out of masa dough and topped with beans, onion, cilantro, cotija cheese, and whatever meat you choose. I love that they actually seasoned the steak and tasted so fresh. It was gone before I knew it… My friend got their Tex Mex that has grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp on top of rice and covered in cheese. She used the tortillas (they make those themselves) that came with this dish and made tacos out of it. Such a charming little spot! I felt really comfortable here with the chill atmosphere. Super friendly staff too!

Pretty good. I liked that they bring chicarones (sp) and salsas instead of chips. Service was very good. Tacos, grilled chicken and fish were good. Also had rice and beans and the beans were a bit like baby food but they were alright. One thing though, I don’t like hearing the music from the kitchen competing with the music in the dining room. The whole time is was I was having lunch I could hear both equally. It was really annoying. Overall though it’s an ok place

We went to lunch about 2:30 pm. We were the only people in there, the o n l y people. Had to request chips and salsa, they had a decent salary bar, though it's not marked very well. Our server didn't speak a lick of English, had to get someone else that works there to translate. The food was decent enough, with exception to the stale chips. Chicharrones were ok, those were first served, as usually chips n salsa usually are. Probably would not go back.

This is an old building, with broken down booths. BUT, we Love a dry bean burrito with guacamole and they can be a little hard to find. Let's keep expectations realistic. They bring a basket of fried, puffed, crunchy yummies and their dipping sauces and extensive salsa bar will keep us curious folks coming back until we figure out what we Love. They have a list of special drinks, bar prices are reasonable, we get a drink šŸ· while we wait. Service is always friendly, be patient English is the 2nd language and worth patience if you Love real Mexican food. They are next door to a Mexican market so arriving here curious and interested in Mexican food is best. We come from a border town and are regular here because it reminds us of home. A family business interested in...

Food is great but they will extort you we bought bought two medium drinks which she said was around seven dollars and we bought a large margarita in which she said was about 10 dollars and a half queso chips which the menu said four dollars exact and we were charged 72 dollars and when I told her that wasn't right she went down to fifty two dollars until we had to finally be confertational and got the very least ten dollars back but they pretended to kot understand what was being said even though she got nervous when i pointed out she added extra items that was not ordered...
