Jersey Strong Gym — Attraction in East Brunswick Township

So I think the “free” trial they claim is just to lure you to sign up for a membership immediately. They convince you you’re getting a good deal , say it’s free end up paying $33 and don’t even have membership for a month yet and get charged the 25th of the month which hasn’t even been a complete month. What was supposed to be 45 . They tell you that you have 10 days to pay but I get charged $60 . My app says it’s $100 for next month. What’s up with all this money being charged? I feel like all this info isn’t mentioned when you’re signing up . Also sales guy said the fitness diagnostic is only for members but I think they only do it to convince you to sign up for a personal trainer so they opt out. I think I’m paying for that and I haven’t even seen one. On top of all that which I haven’t even had for that long and I’m already getting issues, Jersey strong charged me $15 fee for tailgating when it was my first time going late and my spouse who is also a member phone was dead. I feel like I shouldn’t be charged that. I wasn’t even aware. The door says non members. We’re both paying for memberships. All this is ridiculous . Please do yourself a favor and sign up for LA instead . You can get all state access and $40 a month for you and your spouse . I really regret signing up because now it feels like I’m being overcharged and probably gonna keep getting billed different amounts . Why is it saying $100 for next month? Nobody explained any of this to me. I don’t like the misleading going on and they should also update hours on google maps because I’ve drove to different locations just to find out it’s closed and gas is expensive. If I could give a 0 star review, I would. I won't mention any names because unlike the people that signed me up for everything, I want to be considerate. I signed up when they had the promotion giving out Amazon gift cards. The person who helped me sign up is someone I see every time at the gym and after a few text messages, he completely ignored me so I was on my own to contact the company to give me the gift cards I was owed, this process took almost 2 months. I was also told that I'd be charged the monthly fee for 11 months and the 12th month would only be the yearly fee. 3 months after signing up, I was charged the yearly and the monthly and of course they did nothing about it and not even an apology. Oh and I wasn't ever told that it'd be a 12 month contract. I specifically asked if I could cancel at any time my membership and my personal training. The manager who signed me up for personal training even told me specifically that I'd be able to cancel at any time. I was never once told that anything would be a contract. But here I am now paying $160 a month for something I barely have time to go to. It also got to the point where I had to send my personal trainer messages to get him to make my moneys worth since we were spending more than half the time just setting up the equipment, which once again I wasn't informed about. If I could go back in time and tell myself to sign up for Planet Fitness down the street I would, and I'd be much more glad paying $160 a month for a time machine doing that. It sucks how Jersey strong trains their employees to scam you and once you start bringing these things up to them in person, they no longer care about you. even if you have the money and time, this gym is ok at best. but if you are someone who doesn’t have the money and time, this gym is the worst thing you can sign up for. i went to an appointment for i can get 10$ off my monthly payment but they ended up signing me up for the vip membership, which is $360 a month on top of the $60 monthly fee, without my knowledge. i literally cant afford that fee as a college student working a minimum wage job. name one working college student that is willing to pay $420 a month for services catered toward people who are older and has the money and time to waste on this overpriced gym. when i read the contract that the sales man told me to just sign and “not worry about”, it stated that, “You are entitled to a copy of this contract at the time you sign it.
