i love JCPennys . But i did have a bad experience on 11/5/25 . I was shopping for a ring .The associate showed me a few and i had asked the prices . She went and checked and said the one i really liked was $2999.00 . I bought it . I should have looked at my receipt at the time but i didn’t till days later because i remembered she said i needed to register the ring by calling the # on the receipt which i have never before registered a ring . So i finally did , it turns out when i called it was to register it for their protection plan . She never told me about a protection plan which she put on by herself and I never ever heard of one . She added $325.00 to my ring with out even telling me . My ring it turns out was only like $2550.00 not $2999.00 . I was livid ! Does the sales person get a commission for selling a plan ? That’s all i can think of why she did this ! They wouldn’t take it off my charge on the phone . I had to go to a JCPenny store and do it . It was a waste of my time and gas . All because this sales person pulled a fast one on me . I was quite disappointed of this sales tactic . I actually was livid . I was never asked about it or told she was doing this . It seems like a scam to me . $325.00 is not a little bit of money . So always check your receipts for scams in their jewelry dept . Shame on This JCPenny scam...
Read moreHad photo appointment for 215. Showed up at 200 and they said they were backlogged and would get to us at 230. We didn't get called until almost 300 and during all that time no one bothered to update us. When we finally got called, they didn't even apologize for keeping us waiting 40 minutes past our appointment time. We were getting pictures with our one-year-old and by the time we got seen, he was very cranky and the pictures were not what we had hoped for. When the time came to review the pictures, they just pointed is to a computer and told is to let them know when we were done. We've done this before and the photographer usually reviews the photos with us and will give us ideas for borders, backgrounds, etc. Find somewhere to get your pictures where you'll be treated like a valued customer.
UPDATE: They posted our photos so we could download and had some other kids info attached to my son. For example, around the border, it had another child's name, said something about a 2nd birthday and had other info that...
Read moreVery disappointed experience yesterday for me with the billing woman who don’t have patience even JUST for 45 seconds to a minute. It was not busy . 3 counters were open and only 3 people were standing for billing . My bad day made me go to her for billing .She treated me ( her customer ) like a stupid . The only store I regularly shop is Jc penny East Brunswick but yesterday I ended up with a very bad experience and she ruined my whole day with her attitude . Owner or manager please help these kind of employees to learn the positive manners . Please tell them to treat their customers kindly or gently.
