Really good tuna! I knew I could depend on a good portion size here, unlike Jersey Mikeās, which also has a location in the township. But go to Mr. Subs insteadā¦
I found the pricing fair, but not cheap ($6.95 for an 8-inch cold tuna or $13.40 for their 16-inch, for example) whereas, I would have paid more at Mikeās for yet a much smaller sandwich. Moreover, at the Mikeās franchise, also on Route 18 Southbound, a couple miles away, itās like throwing extra dollars into the air. While costs add up for franchisees, Iām glad Mr Subs is not a franchise facing extra operating costs.
By the way, you can get half a cold turkey sub here for $5.95, or a whole for $11.45 there, according to the menu, which I was also able to take with me. It lists other locations in: North Brunswick, Cranbury, South Bound Brook, South Plainfield and Rahway.
I wish the manager Parth, and his team the best on the venture and new Mr Subs Sandwich Shop ā I feel like it will do well and continue to get off the ground rapidly. Good luck!
Wish I had not missed the ribbon-cutting on August 4, which I hear was a success.
One other note: while I like being able to add-on olives at Mr. Subs in Cranbury, this location does not serve them. And while a server indicated the reason had to do with it just opening, Iāve learned that olives may not be offered due to the shopās small size.
But naturally there are still lots of good add-ons available. So enjoy your visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust happened to drive by and spotted this new opening. Decided to give it a try. It was clean and fresh look inside, not like a deli sandwich shop. Although the staff was still new, they were friendly and answer the best they could. I ordered the Italian and wifey had the Oven Turkey. We also ordered fries and had comp. wings. The sandwichs are on point, bread is like Tastee's and old school Blimpie, which I like more than other breads. The meats are sliced thin, probably their style. Probably would have liked more meat to get the taste more or maybe a little less veggies but overall, good sandwich, def better than "JM" a few minutes away. The fries are banging!!!, maybe cuz I love salt but it was nicely salted broadwalk fries. The wings reminded us of Crown Fried Chicken wings, which is a good thing. We love our neighborhood wings. Would def go back since it's close to us as well. Park, manager/owner, was very nice to talk to, which gave it a better experience.
2025 add-on: Their philly cheesesteak is great..but it's how I like it, saucy, ha. Can't compare to Meatheadz but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreParth and Sarth run a hell of a show at Mr. Subs. They warmly greeted me into their restaurant. I was very disappointed at Khatiyawadi Kitchen local Indian famous restaurant at Sayreville when the owners itself when they gave me an attitude when I kindly requested to take my Vada Pav Bread to turn it soft. It was way too hard to even bite their bread. They refused to take it back and told me get the hell out of here haha and that in gujurati that bread isn't hard as a bone to bite it. Remember Mr. Subs the owners are the master machine operating this business they know the secret is customer is always right in America. They treated me like a VIP customer here so they deserve a 100 points star from me. It's a true review from my heart. As long as you keep up the adorable work I am your forever customer. I will send all my friends your way to Mr. Subs...
