I've been waiting for weights to come in for over 4 months now. When I went into the store to purchase the weights back in the June, the store rep told me I should have my weights in the next week. After talking to Michelle the following week she told me that due to all their order of weights, that the estimated time to receive the weights would take longer, but that I should call back Thursday or Saturdays as thats when they typically receive their shipments. She also told me that despite initially being told the store would call me when the weights were ready, I should call because they did not have enough time to call people to tell them their orders were ready. Each time I had been into the store, the same guy at the front desk was always playing on his cell phone, so how are they too busy to pick up the phone to call customers if the people who work there are dilly dallying. I just think they need to be more truthful when telling people dates or say we will get back to you. Most recently I called to find out about my weights, and the guy on the phone said that they should have these weights in the next shipment next week. This is the same line I've been told every Thursday/ Saturday that I call. He said they had a metal weights in stock for the weights that I had purchased, however he continued on to say he had to make sure they weren't reserved. Why would you tell a customer that you have something but then you have to make sure they aren't reserved, that makes NO sense. Also they said they would check into something for me and then call me back, but they did not do that, which doesn’t surprise me and they still did not have the answer to my question. Read moreI was in the market for a sturdy, quiet, well built stationary bike at a reasonable price. When I walked into the Ultimate Fitness store I was greeted by Danny. He showed me several models and described the features so that I could do a comparison shop. I tried out the BODYGUARD bike and liked the feel of it. It came with a 3 year warrantee on labor and 10 year on parts. it cost a little more than I originally wanted to spend but because I knew it was a well built bike, which felt extremely comfortable to sit on and ride on, I decided to take the plunge. I have had the bike in the house for a few weeks and am enjoying it immensely. It is as good as the commercial model that I used to ride at the gym. Everything is conveniently located on this bike. The men who delivered it and set it up were gentlemen who were very careful not to mar any of my walls or furniture in the process of bringing it in. I am extremely satisfied customer. I feel that Danny steered me right and gave me all the information that I needed to make the right decision for me. I would highly recommend checking out the exercise equipment in this store. Buying exercise equipment from other sporting goods stores that sell this kind of equipment may save you some money initially, but the lack of a good warrantee and the overall performance and durability of the equipment may wind up costing more in the long run. I had purchased a weight bench and only purchased the leg extension piece after I was told the item would be arriving in their next shipment, which would be within a week. After calling each week to check status we were assured it would be in the next delivery. They never return calls after leaving messages and don’t always answer the phone even during store hours. After multiple attempts I finally get someone on the phone and the sales guy tells me the item has arrived and will set it aside for me with my name on it. I immediately take the hour drive over because it’s my son’s Birthday and this was to be a birthday present. I arrive to pick up the leg extension only to be told by Julio I can’t have it, it’s for his customer who has been waiting since August. I’m sure Julio’s customer has been fed the same line since August too. Much to my dismay I left without the piece only exasperated further by his bad attitude. The business practices of this store as follows; Delivering only what you want to hear= lack of business ethics, poor management of inventory, lack of internal communication, gross negligence of customer service and lack of professionalism leaves one wondering how is this place even in business???
