Echoing similar reviews, the prices here are worse than ebay prices on similar items. Recently, I purchased a copy of Halo CE for the original Xbox, it was behind the counter. I asked the clerk if I could look inside before I buy, not only did he refuse to let me check inside, he LIED and said that the game includes the original game manual and the disc has no scratches. He even referenced the "423" code on the red tag, saying that it's a premium find. Much to my surprise, when I got home not only did the disc have scratches (and smudges), but it did not have the manual in it. This game goes for $10 on ebay...listed here for $12.99 RED tag! I can deal with the price gouging, but being blatantly lied to is crossing the line. As a life time thrifter, and fan of community aid, this really hurt. I've also purchased other blurays from here (which were taped shut) out of respect for the store I didn't open them till I got home, and they were missing discs.

We enjoy this place - there are some good finds for good prices. Especially on Wednesdays, which is half priced days, where everything is half off. My husband goes here fairly often and finds some good items here sometimes. Some days, he might find nothing, and other days he finds a lot. So, it can be hit or miss, but I definitely recommend checking it out because you never know what you may find! But overall, we prefer this place to other thrift stores because it has better prices compared to other thrift stores.

I used to love this store. Things changed about a year ago. They now check ebay prices and try to squeeze every dime out of an item that was given to them for free!! Only a matter of time before people stop going, like me. I guarantee they are selling the "good" stuff online following goodwill greedy model, because I haven't found anything worth buying in many trips besides the stuff they have behind the counter at full retail price. I used to recommend this place often, I can't anymore.

TODAY FRIDAY 5/13/16 I WENT TO VISIT THIS STORE FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN MY LIFE. I WAS SHOPPING FOR A FAMILY OF FIRE VICTIMS. IN DOING SO I HAD A FULL CART AND HEAPING OF CLOTHING THAT WERE FOR THIS FAMILY. A CHURCH GAVE ME SOME COMMUNITY AID CARE CARDS (4) TO SHOP WITH ALSO. ON THE CARDS IT SAYS....... TERMS AND CONDITIONS.....THIS CARD MAY NOT BE REDEEMED FOR CASH. PLEASE PRESENT THIS CARD WHEN READY TO MAKE A PAYMENT. MERCHANT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN. PLEASE TREAT THIS CARD AS YOU WOULD CASH. $25 VALUE, NO DISCOUNTS/ PROMOS APPLY ONE TIME USE FOR CLOTHING AND SHOES ONLY. NOT VALID ON TUESDAYS OR WEDNESDAYS.

OK I'M FINE WITH THIS BECAUSE I'M HELPING THIS FAMILY OUT (WHO LOST EVERYTHING IN THIS FIRE) I UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE COMPLETELY. SO I SPEND A LOT OF TIME LOOKING FOR THEIR SIZES AND PICKING OUT NICE ITEMS. I GET UP IN THE LANE AND IT TELLS YOU TO TAKE OFF YOUR OWN HANGERS..... ONCE AGAIN NO BIG DEAL. IT TAKES ME ANOTHER 1/2 HOUR. I GO TO THE CASH REGISTER AND TELL THEM AND SHOW THE CARDS TO THE CASHIER. SHE SAYS I NEVER SAW THESE LET ME TALK TO MY MANAGER. NO PROBLEM.....THE YOUNG SNOT NOSE MANAGER AHEAD OF THE CASHIERS COMES OVER AND SAYS I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN ALLOW YOU TO USE 2 OR 4......I NEED TO FIND OUT. THIS IS NOW 3/4 OF THE WAY RINGING EVERYTHING UP. I SAID TO HER IF I CAN'T USE THEM THEN STOP RINGING. THE MANAGER IN A HIGH VOICE SAYS TO ME THAT I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN BECAUSE I'M GETTING EVERYTHING FOR FREE!!!!! COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE EVEN SAID THIS TO ME. SHE DIDN'T KNOW ME TO EVEN SAY THIS TO ME. SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHY I WAS EVEN THERE. SHE TREATED ME SO DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE ALSO REALLY EMBARRASSED ME THE WAY SHE ACTED AND LOUD. CUSTOMERS WERE IN THE NEXT AISLE LOOKING AT US TO SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING.

NOW BEING A OWNER OF MY OWN PLACE AND ALWAYS PUTTING OTHERS FIRST IF I WERE THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE SHE WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB.!!!!!

I HAVE GIVING THOUSANDS OF $$$$$$$$ TO THIS PLACE IN DONATIONS. WHICH REALLY MADE ME UPSET. I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN. I ALSO HAD A LOT MORE ITEMS IN THIS CART THAT I WAS GOING TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I ALSO PLANNED ON GOING IN THE SECOND TIME TO GET YET ANOTHER CART OF ITEMS THAT THIS FAMILY NEEDED.

THEN THIS YOUNG PRISSY MANAGER PROCEEDS TO TELL ME THAT SHE DIDN'T LIKE MY TONE BECAUSE I TOLD THE CASHIER TO STOP RINGING. THIS GIRL HAS MY CARDS THAT THE CHURCH GAVE IN HER HANDS AND MY VISA CARD...........SHE HELD ONTO THEM LIKE SHE WASN'T GOING TO GIVE THEM BACK TO ME.

I WOULD GIVE THIS STORE A NEGATIVE 10 BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE. I'M THE TYPE OF CUSTOMER WHO KEEPS GOING BACK IF I LIKE THE PLACE. I WILL RECOMMEND A PLACE IF IT IS ENTITLED TO A GOOD RATING. WORD OF MOUTH MEANS EVERYTHING. THIS STORE LOST AT LEAST A $500.00 SALE TODAY BECAUSE OF HER. ALSO FUTURE DONATIONS AND FUTURE SHOPPING. AND BAD REPS BECAUSE OF THIS GIRL. YES MY TONE DID CHANGE HOWEVER SHE WAS THE ONE WHOM DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO SPEAK TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. WHAT REALLY TOPPED THIS OFF IS WHEN SHE WAS GOING TO KEEP THE CARDS AND MY VISA CARD. RIGHT THEN AND THERE I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE.

SO BEWARE AND RETHINK ABOUT SHOPPING HERE........ PASS IT ON. I'M ALSO GOING TO PLACE THIS ON TWITTER AND FACEBOOK FOR THE PUBLIC. I'M ALSO MAKING A SIGN TO TELL ABOUT THIS IN MY PLACE OF BUSINESS. TELLING THE CHURCH ABOUT THIS AND ALSO THE COUNSEL OF CHURCHES AND ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN.

BEWARE OF YOUR CARDS, MONEY..........SHE TRIED TO KEEP THEM. WHAT WAS SHE GOING TO DO WITH THEM??????? USE THEM HERSELF?????

NEGATIVE 10.. I DID HAVE TO POST A STAR BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO POST THIS REVIEW.

I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR HELPING THIS FAMILY !!!! P.S. IF YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO USE THESE CARDS WHY DOES COMMUNITY AID GIVE THESE OUT????? AND IF YOU CAN ONLY USE A CERTAIN NUMBER OF CARDS THEN IT SHOULD BE ON THE CARD ITSELF. ALSO YOUR MGR AND EMPLOYEES SHOULD KNOW HOW TO RING THE CARDS UP. IF THE CASHIER DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THEN THE THE HEAD MGR SHOULD...

I come here occasionally with a group I am a part of which serves disabled people. Twice now I have had panic attacks at this store due to the staff being FAR too slow. I am on a time limit and they purposely move as slowly as possible when they start to see a line form, having full conversations with everyone. I'm sure some people appreciate that, but I just want to pay for what I picked out and leave. The line was nonexistent. The person in front of me had a full cart, so I switched lines, and the customer who cut ahead of me at the last second had TWO items. I should not have been waiting as long as I did before giving up when there were 3 staff working the front. I had to drop everything because the one cashier who was still working on ringing up those 2 items chose to lose the sale of a full cart of mostly full price clothing items which I needed. Trying to convince me to finish my purchase when I was in the process of leaving and clearly having a panic attack was beyond extremely embarrassing. They didnt need to draw attention to someone having a panic attack, which they caused, and make me feel worse about it for trying to care for myself! I left the store in tears without purchasing anything because the staff made me so uncomfortable when a member of my group told me to hurry up and they were not respectful of my time and disability. Highly unprofessional of them to turn it into a scene and get everyone staring rather than treating me like a person!! AWFUL!!! Absolutely mortifying experience. I don't feel comfortable coming back to this store and will be letting my group know about...

PROS: The store is always very clean (even on busy sale days). The atmosphere is nice (music is repetitive, but the customer base is friendly, things are ordered well, and their causes are noble). Nicholas (one of the cashiers) is the embodiment of customer service - patient, kind, joyous, well-mannered, gracious, and keen to serve. His faith shines through his character, he's always eager to lend a listening ear, and quick to find solutions to issues other customers have. He's also an eloquent speaker! I would hire him at my store in a heartbeat, and I will donate to their cause any time he asks.

CONS: The prices at the high-end wall and in Mens are getting steep, which I see others agreeing too. As a +size man who needs certain cuts of clothes to fit, it can get expensive finding work clothes within my budget. Some of the staff are kinda rude or easily distracted. There are some young women who will stand around with clothes in hand and be gossiping instead of working, and there is a really really tall man (I think a supervisor of some kind) who I often hear belittling others (staff and customers alike) and demeaning them. There's an air of rushing that can be sensed at times, like their's pressure on the staff to compete for some reason.

OVERALL: Love the store, love Nicholas as a customer service guy, and love the faith-based messaging. Concerned about the prices, but think they're mostly fair. Don't appreciate the gossiping or rudeness of the few employees, or the...
