AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I've given this location several tries and while some were good, others were not. Tonight was the last time I'm attempting business at this location (attempting being the key word), drive to York if you want quality.

One time we walk in to order and are told by the manager that they are way behind on orders and continued to bad mouth employees for not being on time (to the customer) and that it'd be at least an hour before we would get our food.

Another time the location was closed and locked for the eclipse that happened and all staff were standing around outside out back of the store.

Another incident happened during an eat in time where the fountain machine wasn't working, even though several customers ordered and were given cups, had informed the staff that it wasn't working, and no one attempted to do anything about it so I guess we were SOL on that one too.

Lastly, and why I'm making this review, is because i played a pickup order tonight for one singular sub 50 minutes before close. I understand it is late but for one sub that far before closing I'd assume would be fine. I arrive at the location 20 minutes after placing my order still 20 minutes before the location is to close, and find that the open sign is off, the door is locked, and the staff are cleaning up inside. I walk up to make sure I didn't make a mistake and misread online that the location closed earlier, but on the window it said 9:00PM. The one girl who was doing the trash by the front door looks at me and walks away without any further acknowledgement. I didn't even bother knocking because what, I want spit in my food for "causing trouble"? I contacted customer service online to request a refund and am waiting to hear back.

I like firehouse a lot, but this location isn't it. Dine elsewhere unless you like...

I would love to give a better review because when the food comes out as ordered it’s delicious. We don’t order from Firehouse often because it’s not convenient to where we live. Tonight we stopped by because my husband was hungry for a good sub. When I ordered the young man asked if I was fine with Mayo and mustard. I said no mustard and figured maybe I read the menu wrong that it didn’t come with pepper and onions anymore. Then the young man taking our order asked us what size drinks we wanted with our combo meals. My husband said he would like a large. The young man replied saying they were out of large, so my husband took a medium. We thought then when you got a combo you got the drink that matched the size sub you order. So a large sub gets you a large drink. Anyway, pre-COVID we had been in and dinned in, my order came out with peppers and onions so it was convenient to get that corrected. I am a picky eater and don’t like onions or peppers. I can’t just pick them off and still eat the sub. I had an uneasy feeling tonight that my order would be wrong. My husband told me “it’s fine!” He was hungry and just wanted to get home to eat. We didn’t check our orders and headed right home. Well needless to say when we got home, I opened my container and there sticking out of the bun was peppers and onions. I settled for the Mac and cheese side and a few bites of my husbands sub. I could see if it was busy that my order may have been incorrectly made but it was not busy. Just bummed that it had been a while since we had firehouse and then I wasn’t able to eat what I ordered. Luckily my mom had stopped by when we got home and took my sub for my dad to eat.

So lesson learned for next time, whenever that will be, I will make sure I’m very clear what I want and don’t...

Had a chance to visit the new 'food court' on Rohrerstown Rd and this place is definitely below average. Ordered an Italian Sub (about the most basic thing you can get at a sub shop) and suffice to say it did not go well. I asked for it untoasted with no pickle, its was delivered toasted with a pickle. Brought it up to the counter area and was told to bring it back to my table and they would bring me a new one. The second sandwich was delivered with meat, bread and literally nothing else on it! (Two pieces of bread and lunch meat) Hello? Do you know what a sub entails? Apparently since they toast everything unless you ask otherwise (which I did) they are unsure how to make it. I've read other reviews for this location and apparently my experience was not uncommon. I can understand why people want to support them because of the firefighter aspect, but as a food place its below average. Reviewing them for anything other then their food quality is just silly. Bottom line is there are much better sub shops out there, give them...

Love the subs!!! - would have given a 5 star review if it wasn't for the fact that after I had PAID for lunch online and arrived at the location on 11 Apr 2022 to pick up my food that then was greeted by a "closed" sign on the front door. Would have been nice to know before hand! Edit: I was refunded for the purchase above - lack of staffing shouldn't really be held against the business itself. I'm still keeping it at 4 stars until our next visit. Thank you!

Hey attention everyone, this is a great place to eat. The subs are amazing and the staff seemed friendly. The fact that it was started by firefighters and donates money to the public safety collection is another great reason to eat here. Every sub you buy helps keep the community safe. Had sorta a firehall feel too with the Dimondplated cupboards and firesuits and memorabilia.

Firehouse is the best place to get a sub in my opinion. The location is exceptionally clean and the staff is super friendly. The last sub I ordered was the New York Steamer. It’s packed with corned beef and pastrami. The meat is so tender and full of flavor. All of their hot subs can also be served cold. Also, the meatball sub is out of this world. You won’t be disappointed.
