I am giving two stars because my son seemed to have a good time with his friends despite the short comings of this whole birthday party experience.
I had everyone on our guest list fill out the waiver ahead of time. Because we had a party of 13 year old boys, I knew they would be dropped at the door and wouldn’t have their parent. I did as asked and had all of the parents fill out the waivers online. Then we get there and are told everyone needs a print out. Which was never mentioned. Yes, there’s a kiosk. But when the child has no idea what phone number or email the parent used on the waiver (or even that they would need to know this information) it became a problem and I had a few flustered kids and annoyed parents. This is not the way I wanted to start a birthday party.
The table at the glow party was fine; and just fine. It looked like there was capacity for about 8 additional parties on top of the two taking place while we were there on Friday. Party was 7-9pm. At 8:20 I was told my table needed to be empty at 9pm. I was slightly annoyed about the $550 I spent and then being told a little over halfway through the party that I needed to be cleaned and out by 9. But fine. At 8:45 (15 minutes before the end - 12.5% of my party remaining - $68.75 to be exact) my host informed me she needed to clean up and clear the table. I looked around at the mostly empty adventure park and asked where she would like me to move my presents, party favors, kids hats, sunglasses, and phones. She suggested the table aside of us - since it was empty. As were 11 other tables. I moved our stuff, cleaned up the kids’ things, and she cleaned up our table. Oh, and while I was rushing to clean up and vacate our table (instead of watching my son and his friends celebrate his 13th year on earth) I was also asked to make my way to the cashier so they could be sure they had my money before 9pm. Incredibly not happy about being rushed through our already short party. 2 hours isnt a very long time to begin with - especially when you add in the pizza - and then being rushed through and out the door is not only ridiculous, but unacceptable. There were no parties coming in after us. At the very LEAST, you can wait until 9pm when my party is OVER to take my money and usher us out.
In addition - my son is 13. He’s athletic and tall. He’s also the size of a small man. The tshirt offered with the party is a child’s shirt. To fit a small child. There were no larger sizes available. These shirts won’t fit anyone over the age of about 10. Why bother offering it? I suggested one of the adult size shirts on the wall and was informed that I was free to purchase one. No. Just no.
This was, by far, the worst “pre-done” party I’ve ever overpaid for. To add insult to injury - I was asked if I’d like to leave a tip for my party host. I left a small tip because it’s not her fault that this company expects people to be ok with it’s processes. Maybe they can take the $68 of the party I paid for, but spent cleaning up, and give that to her.
At 9pm on a Friday night after working all day and shelling out $550 for a mediocre party I was not about to argue with the manager on staff who was most likely unable to do anything but apologize. So, no - I didn’t let anyone know my distaste in this entire experience. Until now.
If you’ve made it this far in my review, learn from my mistake and do the math on paying for your party guests to go have fun at the adventure park but save some cash on the...
Read moreThe jumping/climbing attractions are nice, but we have gone there a dozen or so times and every time there has been some kind of issue. The staff is absolutely awful, untrained, and will either 1) pretend not to see you, 2) quickly duck into the office, 3) say they can’t help, or 4) stare blankly at you and watch you wait for help, until someone who isn’t them helps you.
I spent about 2/3rds of the 2 hours we were there trying to get help for one of the multiple issues that occurred in our short visit, having to make peace with losing $100 just to salvage some time to play with my kids. The first 20 minutes there I spent the first probably 12 at the front of the line to check in. During this time, one idle employee stood 20 feet away staring at the growing line, neither of which showed any signs of movement. Another made eye contact like she was contemplating helping before ducking into the office, where none of the other employees in there came out to help either.
Meanwhile, the worlds most unaware employee is helping the worlds most inconsiderate customer by answering, in painstaking detail and with zero urgency, endless questions from differences in ticket tiers, perks of membership, curiosity about birthday parties, the snack bar, socks, etc. When it looked like she was finally knowledgeable on every question she could have had answered in five minutes of browsing the website, the employee then offered her his screen to read and sign the waiver (which she also had questions about) right there at the counter instead. All of us waiting could have been checked in during the time this woman signed her waiver if she’d been directed to the kiosk behind us which exists precisely for that purpose. After that there was more waiting, for someone to help me with the broken locker I just paid for that wouldn’t shut (the employees solution was to slam the door repeatedly and force it shut, rather than offer a working one. Thanks, I could’ve managed that one myself.)
I spent significantly more time trying to retrieve the large balance on the 2 arcade cards we left with on our last visit, which, though purchased this summer and this location, which were coming up with an error message that they were from an invalid site.
After wasting more time finding help, I got to an employee who explained their new system doesn’t read the old cards but she can use her machine behind the counter to “transfer” the balance from the old cards to one new card. I was relieved because one card was unused and contained $100, and the other card had less than a dollar but a years worth of tickets on it (no less than 2400) that I’d been stockpiling for my kids to spend on defective prizes at the counter.
She took my old cards and returned a new card with 0 dollars and 14 tickets. I’d intended to make this our last visit and wouldn’t have come back at all except to use up the card balance. But whether we’d gotten to use the cards or whether the $100 was lost to incompetence or stolen, I appreciate that the end result was the same, we have no reason to come back to this...
Read morefor one when I got there I had sky zone socks that have the same rubber coating on the bottom. they wouldn't allow me to let my children jump with them. they insisted I had to buy urban air socks. what's the point of making such a big hub up of wearing their clean urban air socks, if the place is dirty. from what I remember they used to be an exchange program no cost involved. but their manager Emily, who was rude, insisted that it has not been in existence since 2019! the place is filthy. they haven't cleaned under the slides, they haven't cleaned the mats, the floor is lifted on the ramp, it's a tripping hazard! electrical hazards all over the place. piss all over the wall in the bathrooms. trash and hair hanging from where the kids swing around. you go on Google review or read anything off Facebook they say that our children's health and safety is of up most important to them but it does not show. there was brown chunks in the ball pit. pounds of dust everywhere. it is disgraceful! I will not be bringing my kids back here. trash everywhere. the windows to where the adults could lounge upstairs is filthy. where it says no food or drinks there was a whole bunch of wrappers and empty cups everywhere. staff was sweeping the balls with the trash back into the pit. the cubes are torn apart. needs to be replaced it looks like they've been half eaten. the playground steps where the kids have to climb to go to the slide is black it looks like mold is growing everywhere. from little food crumbs that haven't been cleaned up in years. the kitchen was disgraceful. trash everywhere!mess everywhere! nothing clean. staff not rotating gloves while handling food and then money. piles of dust under every bench, and every chair. all the hammocks that are supposed to catch our children if they fall filthy. The rubber on the ramp is warped to the point where I almost tripped. I feel bad for anybody that goes in there with a wheelchair. they might get thrown out of their chair. one ride has been broken for the past 3 years every time I go in. expose wires everywhere.. games out of order lockers out of order. It doesn't look like they get anything serviced in the past 2years. even the fire extinguisher was lacking proper inspection signatures on their quote on quote tags! all they care about is taking as much money out of your pocket as possible! hard to breathe the air. probably because I'm allergic to mold and there's most likely...
