Mae Ploy Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Limerick Township

When we first noticed this place, we were looking at the menu on the window. A woman, presumably one of the owners, came out with the biggest, sweetest smile and offered us some to-go menus. We got take-out from here tonight and OH MY GOODNESS. I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Thai food and this surpassed them by leaps and bounds!

First, their Thai tea is actual tea - it clearly didn't come from one of those orange packets you can get from the asian market. The Pad Thai was the absolute best in this area, the Shrimp Chili Salt looked fantastic (I personally don't eat spicy food but my boyfriend loved it). The icing on the whole experience was the Mango Sticky Rice! All of the food was clearly made with love for both the ingredients and the act of cooking itself.

Needless to say, I'll be going back......

First time going here and we loved the food! We got the beef noodle soup and drunken noodles. The broth in the noodle soup is delicious, savory and comforting. Can definitely taste the all spice, cinnamon and star anise. The drunken noodles were very good, we were impressed. We're a household that loves spicy food and the medium spiciness had a little bit of a kick. So they definitely know how to make food spicy and don't hold back unlike some other places. The restaurant itself is adorablely decorated but very small. The place appears to be run by only two people (a mother and daughter I believe) so service can be slow sometimes but the wait is worth it and you can tell they work very hard. Sona's Courtyard Restaurant & Cafe

The 3 of us had lunch here on a Tuesday shortly after noon. Immediately seated, no other customers.

Very pleasant folks. Gorgeous atmosphere, with lovely decorations and a small water fountain. Everything neat and clean and seems brand new.

I had the lentil soup, which was delicious, and the chicken kabobs special, which was also very nicely prepared and tasty. Another had the lamb meal and the third had the meatball entrees - they both enjoyed. We were provided an attractive salad and bread to very started, along with our own large bottle of chilled water.

I would have liked to stay for coffee and dessert.

I wish we lived closer, as this Cafe would become a weekly go to.
