East Ridge Antique District — Attraction in East Ridge

Little ridicules to tow cars after your businesses are closed. It’s been used for overflow parking for the surrounding restaurants for YEARS… most who enter the parking lot are not going to be looking for signs about not parking there due to that reason. ESPECIALLY COMING FROM THE BACK ENTRANCE (through Cracker Barrel) I didn’t notice any of the signs that were on the front of the building… don’t know about anyone else but I’m not going to be looking for them or paying attention to stores that are closed when I’m focused on finding a parking spot, especially since they weren’t always there (I’m not over in that area often). if you don’t want someone parking there my suggestion would be to post signs at BOTH ENTRANCES. Also, have them in front of parking spaces that FACE AWAY FROM THE BUILDING. Owner is vindictive, in petty argument with Champys over parking and takes it out on the public. Was there last night, parked in the parking lot, when we came out our car was on a tow truck. Small signs on the building, that no one can see. And there’s a crude hand made sign faced AWAY from the parking spots. I would be understanding if it was during business hours, BUT IT WAS AFTER THE SHOPS HAD CLOSED FOR THE DAY. People have parked there for years, to go to Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, or Champy’s. If it’s an issue for their business, they need to put up proper signage and use cone and chains. Because at this point they are doing nothing more than screwing over people for shits and giggles. I tried to tell my wife about these antique store/ megashops, but she was struggling to understand. I had seen a couple back in New Mexico and thought I could describe them properly to her.

I could not and it all came together here. Multiple buildings filled with hundreds of stalls. We entered together and stayed together for a little while, and then it was four hours later, each of us with overfilled baskets. I dont think we got to see everything either. I know I had lots more to see and only left because we were on a schedule driving down to Orlando.
