I was at TASTE for breakfast on 7/21/25 at about 10 am on a Monday, when most places seem to be closed. It seems as my post with be the 318 post and the rating for this restaurant is 4.9 I am big on numerology and had quite the spiritual experience in PA this weekend so, will include some the experience in my reveiw. Lost my mom on 3/17...which is the number of reviews I see here...I will be the 318. The ratings is 4.9...her age on tragic passing was 49. The address of TASTE is 154. I was 15 at the time of her passing and am the 4th daughter. Coincidences? Maybe, maybe not. Everyone interprets how they wish. I choose to think, not coincidence.
I met my server Ella, when I got there. Such a sweet and positive energy. Nice way to start your morning, especially when not a morning person. She let me choose where I wanted to sit and gave me the menu. It's a very cute place with wall to wall windows. I am on a heath kick since earlier this year, so trying to stick with that on the road can be challenging. The menu had an avocado toast breakfast which appeared to seem healthy so, that is what I went with along with a side of turkey bacon for added protein. two eggs not enough -- need at least 30 grams. Also, ordered a cup of organic coffee, even though I gave coffee up due to acidity...once in a while should be ok.
Breakfast was amazing, the best avocado egg combo I have ever had. I highly recommend. The manager, Isabella came over to see if all was ok. Everything was perfect, her being another positive energy. It does affect your day, believe it or not. Both these ladies helped me start my morning on the right track. I have a few hours drive to go home to NYC.
In their bathroom is a really cute set up with an old telephone on a stand with note pads that guest leave messages. I thought was such a sweet touch. Unique idea...old phone and old way of leaving a review--pen and paper. Really cute.
Anyway, I really enjoyed my morning with these ladies and a fantastic meal and service. I highly recommend a visit.
Thank you to Ella (my cousin's 8 year old has the same name) and Isabella--sweetest manager. Wishing them all the best!!
Keep that positive energy flowing, will always bring the same back. Cheers PA!!

Read morePros: Very cute, lots of yummy looking pastries, staff seemed hard working and attentive, they sell spiked drinks and tik-tok cucumbers in the cold case. Cons: Drink prices, espresso shot counts, drink quality. Note - we did not order food
Our grouped stopped in on a Sunday to grab coffees while we waited for our table to be ready at a nearby restaurant. I ordered first and paid $6.15 before tip for a 12oz caramel latte. I was bummed when I tasted it and found that the espresso was of a light roast variety with a fairly sour taste - that is preference but worth noting if you don't prefer it either. My friend ordered two large iced lattes with an extra shot each, chocolate in one, vanilla in the other, and oatmilk in both. She paid $12 PER LATTE. When the lattes had already been made, the barista asked her, "do you know how many shots are in here?...6!" My friend was shocked - mainstream coffee shops put 3 shots in their large size, so the intention was to end up with 4. Having not been informed of the shot count at the time of order, she ended up with two overpriced drinks with way too much espresso in them. They were UNDRINKABLE. She spent an ADDITIONAL $6 on a large cup of oatmilk to try to thin out the intensity - this did not work and resulted in something that tasted like dirty espresso machine backflush water. Yikes. Another friend ordered a lavender vanilla latte. Instead of putting half and half of each flavor, they put the normal amount of each - resulting in another undrinkable, sickeningly sweet drink. I don't want to be too harsh - there were definitely some good things about this cafe!! But also definitely some areas for improvement around customer communication, drink finesse,...
Read moreNot only was the food fantastic, but the staff were extremely efficient, pleasant, knowledgeable and nice. Isabella was our server. She's an amazing asset to a well run establishment. Super in every way possible. That place ran so efficiently, but we were not made to feel rushed at all.
We had the brioche french toast/berries. It was so special. Fried without being greasy. Coffee was so good that I had to find out who the roaster was (Santa Mama, a local roaster) so I could go there. We also had the pick-your-own omelette. I chose mushrooms, cheese and tomatoes. It was super fluffy and delicious and was cooked perfectly. It came with these amazing potatoes that had small pieces of red onion and red bell peppers in it. Also with a small mixed greens on the plate and a choice of bread. I picked rye and it was delicious. Their bread cones from an excellent local bakery. Everything was fresh and perfect. If I had to pick something to complain about, I couldn't do it.
They have some kind of a liquor license because they were serving Moscow Mules, rum drinks, champagne, etc. we had planned to get one of their muffins, sweet breads, etc., but we were too full. One muffin they had was a banana muffin with cream cheese inside topped with strawberries. Their blueberry muffins were loaded with berries. They even had shortbread. Sooo mad we didn't try them.
Place was slightly small, but also had outdoor dining covered with umbrellas. There were just a few steps or a ramp to get up into the place. Bathrooms were spotless...
