The short version: we bought a glider and a stroller from Kids āN Kribs. The experience was strange, inconvenient, and I would not recommend it.
The positive: Kids ān Kribs has a great inventory and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Itās a great place to go if you want to see and test baby things before you buy them.
We left having made our two large baby purchases - 10 week delivery for the chair, 2 weeks for the stroller. A little long, but fine by us. Everything was great up to this point.
The neutral: The stroller wouldnāt be delivered to our home because we opted to have them set it up and test it - seemed like a nice touch.
What they didnāt explain is that we had to choose from limited and inconvenient mid-week pick up options - our later request to skip the test and just pick it up during normal hours was rejected. When we showed up (on a Wednesday at 11 am) they gave us the stroller and thanked us for coming. The store was nearly empty. No tutorial, no discussion, no point. Odd and inconvenient, but weāre still doing okay.
The negative: The chair. We picked it in a color we liked, but they have you pick back up colors. This alone is strange. Fast forward 10 weeks and the chair is delivered⦠in the wrong color. We called and they said they had already informed us the color we wanted wasnāt available and, evidently, defaulted to a different color without feeling a need to confirm. They were clear they will make no effort to fix it.
But hereās the thing: even if they had called - even if theyād left a voicemail - how is this a positive shopping experience? The convenience of being able to see the products and talk to someone is completely negated by everything that follows. I can order online and get the color I order delivered to my door quickly, or I can add a second drive, a long delay, and end up with the wrong product.
A high cost to pay for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called KnK about a question regarding Stokke, which is a brand they sell. I had just gotten off the phone with Stokke who has TERRIBLE customer service. Nikki could NOT have been more helpful. She was kind and understanding and offered to help in a multitude of ways, all of which she was under no obligation to do as I didn't purchase the chairs from her. I plan to take my Stokke product in to the KnK store to try and get her help further, per her offer. I need to be clear: I haven't spent a DIME at KnK nor have I ever darkened the door of their store. Based on this one phone call and the way Nikki handled our conversation and my plight, I will absolutely not only start going there myself but all telling anyone who will listen that this store is worth paying a visit to. THIS is the way to handle customer service. Kindness and solutions. Nikki, if you ever read this: THANK YOU. This sleep deprived mother of 3 under 3 had her day turn around because of your kindness. It probably wasn't a big deal for you, but it truly meant the world to me. I so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEditing my previous 5 star review. Staff is still WONDERFUL! However, there is not an option to return items for store credit or gift card. This is really frustrating. My husband and I are soon-to-be parents and were gifted duplicates from the store. While we were able to return and buy items we still needed, we did not have a use for all of the credit in one trip. Instead of being able to return for store credit to wait until baby is here to see size/preferences, we had to exchange for an item of equal value to give us an additional 60 days (return policy) and will continue to have to do so until picking new items. This experience is a hassle for all parties involved.
Previous review (which I still stand by): Great store with wonderful options. Kevin was incredibly helpful. Iād...
