La Norteñita — Attraction in Eau Claire

I go in last night to buy my favorite Mexican candy and the women that works there was on her cell phone the entire time and talking to her friend at the front counter. I found two of the same kind of candy and politely asked how much for each. She ignored me, I guess I was too quite so I continued browsing again. When I was ready she made me wait for her to be done on her phone. I asked for a price on the item and she didn't know so she rang it up and I just said I'll buy it all. She bagged all my goods and walked away. She didn't even hand me my stuff. I had to reach behind the cluttered counter for my grocery bag. Then on my way out she called me the b-word in Spanish. Bet she didn't know I understand the language. Very rude. Not to mention everything tastes old and expired. I'll be going to the friendlier store down the road...

I first met Santos when he delivered lunch to a farm I was working at. One of the ways he serves his community & family is that he makes great food & delivers it to the workers at local farms. The workers get authentic, hot meals, delivered, at reasonable prices. I learned then that the food he was delivering, was made with the items he carries & sells & his Authentic Mexican Foods store. I was finally able to get my family there today & found that they are in process of building a restaurant attached to the store, & I couldn't wait to have one of his amazing Torta's! As usual... Delicious! We'll be making it a regular family stop! Thank you sir, I'm glad to...

Just passing through but had a craving for conchas and stopped in, the restaurant side seemed busy with lots of clients so I got a quesadilla and my friend got tacos.

The conchas are light and fluffy (only wish they were warm but they’re still great ❤️)

Quesadilla was delicious with marinated chicken breast and I added some jalapeños and onions plus the salsa it came with and it was soooo yummy!

The store side has a lot wider selection than a lot of our mex stores down south and seemed to be well rotated so everything seemed fresh and not stale or dusty, lots of Mexican candies, seasonings, salsas, and also homemade decor and mugs
