I was very disappointed in my shopping experience at Hobby Lobby. I'm handicapped, and have difficulty walking. On my first visit, I couldn't find the yarn. When I finally found someone to help, it was at the front of the store. I couldn't walk all the way to the back of the store and return, so I left.
I decided to give it another try. I found the yarn, but not enough quantity for my project. The lovely young lady cutting fabric prepared a raincheck for me. (She deserves 10 stars, and is way too nice to work in that environment.)
When I received the call that my order had arrived, I made the third visit. I gave the customer service manager my name and she called back to the warehouse. When they couldn't find my order, she asked if I has received a call. The warehouse made another attempt to find the order and I was again asked if I received a call. They finally found my order in some obscure place and brought it to the register.
Yarn was on sale this week; however, last week when I placed the order there was no sale. The cashier actually asked the customer service manager if she had to give me the sale price
During my wait, a lady came in and asked directions to face paint. When she asked which aisle, she was told that Hobby Lobby doesn't have aisles. When she asked for someone to help her, the customer service manager (while doing nothing) said that she couldn't leave the register area.
Great job, Hobby Lobby! Within 30 minutes, you managed to lose two customers. You also need to replace your customer service manager. I've been in your store 3 times, I've not seen your customer service manager actually do anything, and she's unbelievably rude.
This was not at all the experience I expected from a store with your purported values. I gave you 3 stars because the young lady in fabric was so nice. The remainder of my experience deserves a...
Read moreUsually I love shopping at this store... however tonight was a less than stellar experience. Had an online item that I needed to return, thought it would be a simple in and out. Boy was I wrong, it took 30+ minutes to get in and out of the store.
I learned tonight that only 2 registers in checkout can process returns. These 2 registers were also assisting customers with in store purchases. So after 20 minutes in line it's finally my turn.
The girl needed a manager override for my return. Mary, the manager on duty comes over to assist. Now keep in mind I provided my receipt and had my credit card for original form of payment.
Mary does her process on the register. Then hands me cash for my refund. When I inquired why wasn't this going back on my card I was told it's either store credit or cash.
Per hobby lobby return policy it states with a receipt within 90 days of purchase hobby lobby will gladly exchange, give store credit or issue a refund based on the original payment method. So based on this information it should've been returned to my card not handed cash right?
Wrong so now what was supposed to be an easy trip has utilized 30 minutes of my time and added a trip to the bank that I hadn't planned...
Read moreI like how this location just opened up in Abingdon, but I am not too sure how I feel about them. My mom and I tried to shop here one evening after getting groceries from Aldi's. They had all their lights on and their doors were open. We went in, just to be told they weren't opened yet. They weren't that friendly about it either. They had no sign out front, stating when they would open, but they were so bothered that we were looking around and inside the store.
I have went back to the new location since they have been opened and I just do not feel like I belong there. They do not seem very friendly as I expected. I am not sure if I am still feeling some way because of how they acted when we tried to shop that one night or not. They have good stuff and their store is pretty clean, which is great compared to Joann's in Bel Air, but I just do not feel there is a lot of friendly attitude coming from the employees. They may feel overwhelmed still since they just opened almost a month ago by now. I am not sure. I am trying to give them a chance though because I just got into sewing and they have a lot of...
