A few of my family members took me to Lemon N Ginger this evening for my birthday celebration—our first time there; they let me choose where I wanted to go. (We did not tell our waitress—Olivia, who was excellent and attentive—that it was my birthday.) What drew me: The online website is excellent! The detailed menu and prices enticed me initially. The Photo Gallery lured me in further. Being handicapped, seating can be challenging for me—the bench was very comfortable, and my family said the chairs were also! The table could be moved—much preferable for those such as I who are physically challenged. But oh my! The food! It was delicious, so much more than I was expecting! We had shrimp spring rolls, shumai, crab rangoon, wonton soup, shrimp tempura, Mongolian beef, General Tao’s Chicken, various shushi, salmon sashimi (I think it was), chicken mango dish… I think that was all… Everything was great! This is the best Asian restaurant! Delicious food, generous portions, great staff, great atmosphere, great prices—we’ll definitely be back, and will spread the word! Thank you for a very enjoyable experience—and you didn’t even know it was my birthday! ☺️😋
Well, I’m back to give another great review for this restaurant! Another part of my family brought me here today to continue my birthday celebration, and let me tell you, it was just as wonderful this second time as the first! Our waiter, Zach, was so pleasant, very attentive, just couldn’t be better! And the food!!! Ahh… so scrumptious… Really, if you’re looking for a great restaurant experience—good atmosphere, comfortable seating, tables that actually move (better to accommodate some of us challenged folks), delicious food, generous portions, great prices…in addition, great wait staff, then head right here! You won’t be disappointed! And to the owner and/or manager: Y’all have a great team, and a great thing going. Keep up the good work! 😄😋 Thank you!
6.27.24 Update: Uh-oh! What happened?!? I am sad to report a negative review for our take-out order today. Normally, we dine in, and at those times, the food was absolutely delicious. I raved about it to many folks. But today, that was not the case. The food in our take-out order was sub-par, which was greatly disappointing. The shrimp spring rolls, crab rangoon, and shrimp tempura were all over cooked, and actually looked and tasted like they were previously cooked, and re-cooked today to make it hot for the take-out order. Sad… very sad… 😢 The wontons in the soup were over cooked and tough, and the soup actually shocked me. I had always proclaimed your wonton soup was the best ever, and I’ve had a lot of wonton soup in my 74 years, in many Asian restaurants. Very disappointing today. Tasteless, compared to your dine-in. The Broccoli in soy ginger sauce with chicken was barely passable. Perhaps you can work on making sure that your takeout food is just as delicious, tasty, tender, scrumptious, and eye-pleasing as your dine-in food, so you can restore your reputation as the best Asian food restaurant ever. You have a reputation to uphold; please take...
Read moreIt has been eight to nine years that I have eaten at Lemon N Giner Asian Grille Restaurant.Today is the last time I will eat or recommend this business to family and friends, Also, my bills are no less than 150 and go as high as 500 depending on how my foster children I have in my care. This is almost a weekly meal. Today the owner decides to auto gratuity my bill (3) with a party of four normal auto gratuity is for a party of six which I have quite often. When I call her to the table to ask why the auto gratuity she first stumble with her words then she finally stated the day of the snow storm we did not tip her which was not fare. My reply was I always tip because people of color get a bad rap for not tipping. I explained the process my tip starts at 30% if it takes my waiter/waitress more than 5 minutes to say I will be with momentarily deduct 5%. If my cup gets empty it goes down another 5%. If you are not pleasant 5%, mess up 5% or forget my order well 5%. Since you manager to be here you will always get 5% even if you are horrible. To that end I was feeling some kind of way after my child ask is it because we are the only people of color in here.Perhaps the color of my skin had something to do. I don't know but we were a party of 4 not 6. Something for me to think about but as I stated and end to a pretty ok...
Read moreThe food is the only reason I’m giving this review 2 stars vs. 1. The food is great, but service was absolutely TERRIBLE! One of the worst dining experiences of my life. I was a server for about 6 years and have never not left a tip, but this was almost a first. My husband and father in law ate here today. They opened at noon and we were the first people in the door. We didn’t leave until 1:10. An hour and 10 mins for lunch is absolutely absurd! Especially being that we were the first people through the door. I got my salad 20 minutes after we had ordered. My husband received his meal first, I got mine a few minutes later and my poor father in law didn’t get his meal until we were all but done with ours. Our server apologized for the wait, but did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. I’m sure she could tell that we were getting frustrated and instead of getting the manager she simply stopped talking to us and didn’t bother to check on us to see how everything was at least. I clearly saw the manger walking around the restaurant too. When she dropped off the check after we had paid she said nothing. Not a sorry, not a have a nice day, NOTHING! Had she gotten the manger and had something done about our situation I may not be leaving this review right now. We will just get take out...
