I used to go to Diva Nails every two weeks with my mom for years. It was our favorite place. I moved to Woodbury, so it was quite a drive and I tried other places, but never liked one as much as Diva Nails, so I decided to make the drive because I thought it would be worth it. It was not. The salon has all new people and none were very nice. I got a manicure and was charged $50. I knew it would be a bit more because I got gel, but the math still did not seem right since a basic manicure is $25 and gel is only $15 more. I should also add in that my cuticles were barely manicured and it states you get a massage with it, but I never got one. They did not even have me wash my hands after filing. Just went straight into applying polish. I will also add that gel polish should last 2-3 weeks, however, mine began cracking and chipping after only a few days. I went back to have the nails that chipped and cracked fixed and the lady argued with me at first for one of the nails because “it only has one small crack”. She eventually fixed them. That was this past Sunday and it is now Friday. By Wednesday one of the nails she fixed a few days before already chipped all the way off and now almost all my nails are cracked. It has not even been two weeks. It hasn’t even been a week since she fixed my nails form the first time and they are all cracked and chipped. I am going to ask for a refund for my manicure at least, but I do not think I will get it. My pedicure was okay. Polish is fine, but again, no massage or anything special even though I paid for an upgrade. I used to love this place, but it’s time to find...
Read moreDo not waste your time going here! I had really high hopes for this place when I first started going and liked it until I was charged 60 dollars for a fill (my friend got a full set and was charged the same) (my nails are white with a tiny heart drawn on). That night I realized there was a dent in my left thumb nail. 2 days later, my pinky nail snapped right off just by brushing against the wall. 3 days later my thumb nail started to crack. 4 days later my ring finger broke off the same way. Today my thumb nail broke all the way across and it started bleeding. I went in to get them fixed and she was rushing through it and asked if I needed the same design that was on before. I said yes and when she got done she charged me 10 dollars because that’s their policy for nails that break within a week. I explained how to her how much I paid previously (60 with a 10 dollar tip) and it was a fill and how I should not have to pay extra for her not doing my nails correctly and that 80 dollar FILLED NAILS SHOULD LAST MORE THAN A WEEK. Especially when it was within DAYS they broke. I will never go here again and I will tell people I know to do the same. Very disheartening, rude, and...
Read moreRated poor-fair due to being ripped off. Loved the atmosphere. Lighting is perfect! Relaxing! Ideal nail salon. Only thing concerned me; I wanted to have gel nails applied instead of acrylic. I heard they last longer and are better for your nail bed. I got "gel nails" for $10 more and found out later it was acrylic nails that they used a gel top coat on instead of actually applying gel vs acrylic. I found out if they use bring out a "powder" during a gel nail application it is actually acrylic and a common nail salon scam? Gel would look like gel. There is no gel nail application in powder form at all. If it was a true gel application they would apply once, UV lamp, apply again, UV lamp etc. Which was not the case for me. I did ask the person completing the service who assured me this was a gel nail application instead of acrylic. I will definitely return. I just thought that was a little sad to pay extra for the wrong application. My nails do look wonderful and I enjoyed my time there. Just wish I received what I...
