Oh man.
I was accidentally the worst customer ever.
Mom's sat at Huntington Bank across the street and I volunteer to get us coffee.
Shoulda been easy.
Nothing is easy every time when you've adhd, and the memory of a goldfish.
Memory of a goldfish, attention span of a hummingbird.
So first order of business is apologizing in advance for moms regular order:
"Caramel macchiato high rise. Decaf. Whole milk. Low sugar syrup on the inside. Regular full sugar caramel drizzle on extra whipped cream. Actually, you're gonna hate me she wanted a little less syrup than you usually put... wait... nevermind... sorry... scratch that... you see, LAST time I got the regular syrup by ACCIDENT, YES! ... last time I got the regular full sugar syrup and THAT'S why it was too sweet! .. Yeah sorry, I'm so sorry, forget the less syrup thing... that's absurd...that's an ABSURD ask... I'm so sorry."
At this point the lady stood quietly behind me started laughing a LOT.
I hadn't noticed anyone was behind me.
Then it turned out I'd forgotten my WALLET at HOME that day! 🤦♂️
God bless that whomever nice younger Asian girl because at THAT point her eye should have been ticking.
Shout out to her, I only describe her because she should get a medal for patience and a big fat raise.
Wish I had the capacity to remember names so I wouldn't have to describe people as 'young Asian chick' or 'hippy-looking white guy' Or well, I have ten million other othering jokes for this.
Amazing coffe, ridiculously nice employees. I'm so sorry. I made sure they saw me put a small wad of $1 bills into the cup.

Read moreI use to come to this location DAILY!! Always had a great experience when Jeanette is working. Still miss Mary though. The manager Aj was legit HOWEVER today after almost 2 years at this particular location I will NOT be back. I went in this morning and had a new employee UNFRIENDLY at that take my order. She was rolling her eyes Nd being smug when asking me what I wanted. This older lady knew exactly what she was doing bc the minute a caucasian lady came in she was very pleasant w her. I’m 40 years old Nd well aware of who is being “funny” what hurt me the most was when Lucas asked me what’s wrong (bc you can see it in my face that something happen) I told him lady was rude Nd he replied “no she’s not she’s amazing” yeah no no she’s not unless you’re probably white. The looks she gave me made so UNCOMFORTABLE I WILL NOT GO BACK ND NEITHER WILL MY FRIENDS OR SPOUSE!!! A slap in the face the nearly $5700 (1 EVERYDAY/sometimes 2large turtle mochas) that’s $360 a month) spent there to be told what I’m feeling isn’t even being validated or questioned. I’m from California I KNOW when someone even of color are acting unprofessional at work. The stars are for Jeanette and Raquel bc they honestly are awesome they DONT TREAT ANYONE DIFFERENTLY the employee that shouldn’t be near customers is Tee Monay or Tee Moneeay I’m not sure. Disappointed to say the least. Ugly attitude towards other minority’s isn’t ideal as an employee. Read moreI can't believe I'm typing this up about a Caribou Coffee. Not sure if I went in on training day or something but the experience was just awful.
After placing my order, just two drinks, I waited for close to 15 minutes while other orders that were placed after mine were filled and customers sent on their way. I would not have minded the wait except that the entire time I was waiting, the two young baristas spent joking around and complaining about only having one blender for all the orders they were taking. Unfortunately, during their joking around, one mentioned that there were more blenders in the back ready to be used but that would require one of the two to go and get one. Of course, neither one wanted to go and grab one. When I asked about my order after 15 minutes, I was told, "Oops. We'll get right on that." In the 15 minutes that I was waiting, I heard no less than 3 other customers grumble about their online orders not being ready yet, one of which had been placed more than 20 minutes earlier. At one point, another customer came in one door, saw the line of customers waiting for orders and walked out the opposite door after asking one of us in line how long we had been waiting.
To put the icing on the cake, when my order was finally ready, both drinks were absolutely horrible and undrinkable. You know the coffee has to be bad when my wife, an avid coffee drinker, dumps hers down the sink. Never again will we visit this Caribou.
