The massage service is satisfying, but the lady who is at the register and gets the appointment doesn’t really care if any issues occur. I believe she is the business owner and couldn’t care less if her decision makes you upset or not. I can say my husband and I are a regular customer for this place. While going there, we were given a reward cards and were told after it’s completed, we could get a half hour free foot massage. Both of us had our cards fully marked and wanted to use one of our appointments. She told us they don’t accept those cards anymore. They didn’t mind to put a date on it, but when it’s completed, they refused to take it, and you can’t really argue or ask for a manager because she the owner as I said and she makes the decision whether you like it or not. And, I called the place on 4/18 to made an appointment for 3 pp for the next day at 5 pm. The first comment from her was it’s busy time why not 4 pm. I told her I work till 4 pm, and she said that she’d make it 4:30 pm and we cannot be late. I couldn’t even say anything because I wanted to go there because it was my sister-in-law’s birthday and she is pregnant. She got so excited when she knew we’d do a massage. The appointment day, I called the place to confirm and told them we’d be there 4 pm if it was still available. it. The manager said all good, and we hung up the phone. Since the appointment was changed, I put a time off so I could leave the work earlier. And, we were there 3:50 pm. The manager looked at my face and said the appointment was only for one person, not three so there were no availability for all of us. I said called and confirmed, and she told me they just got someone else and there were no enough space for three people in the room. She also told me my sister-in-law pregnant, and they stopped the paternity massage. I reminded her that our appointment was for foot massage and told her it her birthday. However, she didn’t care and didn’t even try to solve the issue. She only offered us the chairs on the lobby if we insisted on the appointment. I was speechless, and we didn’t have any choice but left the place. My sister-in-law said it’s okay but I felt so upset because it was her birthday and she is pregnant. I kept apologizing to her because I can’t even imagine the disappointment she had. Now, I’m asking myself, is it worth it to go there again because of the massage service even though the manager treats...
Read moreThis was my first time I went this place, over the phone she told me charges for massage is $55 , I asked twice she repeated $55, since she was from different country I thought may be my mistake, I was trying to give my credit card after service is done she said you need to give me cash , she said because credit card we will take 6.62 % tax then your cost will be $75 dollar . I was looking her face , it was not mentioned on notice board . I gave her $65 , I had total $67 in my pocket , so I said I have only $ 2 left I want to give more , can I go to H Mart across street , she did not allowed me , she said ok give me your credit card , she asked me how much . I said $ 5, she was kind of shouted , she said Noooo, even people give $25 doller .I don’t wanted to have more argument I said ok charge $10. To me this place lost their dignity , because the way they were asking money for tip I did not like it . To give tip is not mandatory, this is up to customer to give tip if they are happy for service or not . To me this place looks very greedy and blunt for tip and note they posted for charges with a credit card or cash. Now a days where life is so expensive who will give tip $25 for service $65 . Now I have experience next time I know what I need to ask question before I go other place . Now my question is this place operating with cash from customers and forcing customer tips high amount is legal or not ? They did not write on board for cash or credit card . Charging $ 65 for cash or $75 from credit card . On top of that she took $65...
Read moreMassage itself was nice, but ruined by the attitude I got at the end about tipping. I would not go back. I left a 16% tip, probably shouldn't have left any but felt that the massage itself was good.If you don't give a 20% + tip experience, you won't get a 20% tip, you can't dictate tips. This is running a business 101.
Here's the story, my husband bought me gift certificates for 2 massages. I asked at the end what the typical cost of the massage is so I could leave a tip. I was planning to leave a 15% tip since I was told the room would be mine alone, then in the middle of the massage another client walks in (I'm fully exposed laying there wondering what the heck??) and the 2 masseuses started talking. Massage was good overall, but a little too strong at times. I liked the stretching. So I thought 15% was fine, apparently not. I explained this to the front desk lady, why I was leaving 15%, but she was really rude and said everyone has to leave 20%. Then she told me I might as well not leave any tip at all, and not to come back. OK, not a problem. I won't be coming back. Its too bad, if she didn't harass me, I would have...
