Route 27 Deli & Convenience — Restaurant in Edison

I was on my way to another bagel place on the same street when this one caught my attention. I think this place had been here for some time but is now under new management.

We were greeted with a friendly smile and assisted with our breakfast selection right away. They don't make their bagels here but they have close to about a dozen bagels on display. I got the taylor ham, egg, & cheese. I noticed the grill looked clean which is a huge plus! My sandwich came out perfect - not stingy at all with the taylor ham nor egg like they do at some places. The bagel, even though isn't made there, tastes fresh. My sandwich also wasn't dripping in oil unlike other places like the Bagel Pantry in Metuchen that recently closed sometime last year.

If this place continues to have friendly service with clean hygiene and makes their sandwiches like they did today, I will be a repeat customer.

Probably the worst “deli” I’ve ever been to in New Jersey. I ordered a tuna on a hard roll, they were NOT joking about a HARD roll. In fact, the roll was so hard the worker had to microwave the roll so that they could cut into it. Next, as they were assembling the tuna sandwich, I literally watched the worker cough directly on my sandwich. How nasty. The next sandwich I ordered was a pork roll egg and cheese on a bagel, kinda hard to mess that up, you would THINK. The pork roll was so overcooked and dry it should be ashamed to be called pork roll. Additionally, the bagel was somehow oily and hard? I don’t even know.
