Iwant to share my horrible experience with LINDSAY who claims she is a professional stylist. Went for a consult with LINDSAY prior to booking balayage service. Agreed that we would do Ash brown on my hair with no traces of reds or oranges. LINDSAY refused to see pics I brought in to convey clearly what's in my head. She said "pics from Pinterest don't help." Red flag as it is encouraged by true professionals. LINDSAY colors (I won't say balayage) my hair and guess what gives me the red, orange and weird color I specifically said I didn't want. I politely ask LINDSAY to fix the issue. LINDSAY doesn't call me back for a few days until I call again pretty annoyed. #Unprofessional. Be a big girl LINDSAY, and own up to your mistakes....we all make them. After an abrupt conversation LINDSAY and I decide to fix the problem taking precautions to not damage my hair even more as she will need to process it again. So deep conditioning, olaplex were discussed briefly. I get to the salon middle of a work day because heck with your clients convenience... hey I can only work on fixing your hair on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm. However, that cold and rude LINDSAY didn't once smile or apologize for the terrible job she did on my hair. Instead LINDSAY tells me how she will just lighten a few hairs around my face and my crown. Umm no please fix the entire balayage to what we had agreed to. LINDSAY responds with, (hold on to your seats ppl) "so you expect me to do a $150++ service for free". Yes I laughed just as hard as YOU are as you read this possible future client. Run. Fast. Don't stop. I said, " get it to the agreed upon color." At this point I'm starting to feel uncomfortable as LINDSAY clearly doesn't have my best interest at heart. To confirm every precaution is being taken to do it right the second time around, I asked about adding olaplex in the color. She expected me to pay for it. Really? The first time I came, sure it's an added service I would've been happy to. However, when u screw up and u have to reopen my hair cuticles, even if just to lighten it a little bit you offer it without me even asking. The owner had said she would add it and even then LINDSAY refused to. LINDSAY is truly an #UNPROFESSIONAL hair person (refuse to call her a stylist). LINDSAY proceeds to attack me further with "you made my week a living hell". Called me "neurotic" because I called her to fix my hair. And yes people usually call back if you don't return their calls. So after the attack comes "I'm sorry but I won't be able to fix your hair and I will ask you to leave the salon". Moral of the story- don't go to a #STUCK-UP, #UNPROFESSIONAL, #MEDIOCRE #STYLIST like LINDSAY, who has an attitude and an ego bigger than her goal to be professional and courteous. If she was a true professional she would've turned this into a great #customer #experience. Instead she chose to stroke her ego. The salon owner did try to fix the color but unfortunately I still didn't get the color I was requesting. wish I could post pictures to show what I'm talking about. I have plenty of...
Read moreI am here to write my review about the salon, stylist Ellie and the owner Janine. I was there in second week of December to get my first ever highlights ignoring the other negative reviews and ended up regretting my decision. I had made myself clear from the start to Ellie that I am looking for dark brown or caramel shade but had such hard time communicating to her. Instead she kept pushing for certain color, after the highlight was completed told me that with your hair being black in color you will have undertone of red. Post highlight I requested her to get the swatch so I can compare if it came close to color we selected and she totally dodged on bringing the swatch back and saying it will not be same due to your hair color. She did a horrible hair cut, gave no cut or shape or bounce to the hair from top and from sides they are uneven. And the highlights did not sustain for 2 weeks. It started fading away in two washes. Root touch did not even last for 2-3 weeks she missed so many hairs in middle and back. I contacted the salon and owner Janine today, she was very rude from start and confronting. Without even understanding that there is a possibility things can have gone wrong started talking on defensive mode. Not sure what kind of people work here or run the business but my worst experience in all these years ever at a hair salon. If you are reading this and love your hair think atleast once before you opt for here. And not too mention the receptionist is also rude, sarcastic and there to sell products. After being here for 4 hrs they have no water services or water to offer. And if you have black hair don't go here as your highlight will come up red tint side irrespective because your hair is black(hope it makes sense to you because post I checked with other salon they are were like what are you talking)
Janine shame on you to play and twist with words on internet. I sent you pics of root hair and told you will send rest later when someone is around to help me take pics of the hair from back and middle. You acknowledged that your stylist might have missed some hair in between or back after seeing one of the long grey hair strand in middle of the hair pics and yes the shade does look red which was acknowledged by you and to your best you started recommending more products. It was around holiday season and it took little longer to revert back agreed. But post looking at the pics I sent you, you know it was a horrible job done and you had zero courtesy to apologize, this clearly shows your professionalism and business standards. Glad i learnt from my first and last...
Read moreWOULD RATHER CUT MY HAIR IN THE DARK WITH A BOXCUTTER- THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE. Have been a client for several years, even recommended people here– including my own Mother– but after a Horrible, Demoralizing, Unprofessional experience with Stacy (upfront) I will never ever return.
After my boss told me I could no longer leave early for the hair appointment I made THE NIGHT BEFORE, I had no choice but to unfortunately cancel my appointment on my lunch break the next day (as sometimes things need to happen). When I made this appointment, no payment information was taken, no cancellation policies explained. When I called to cancel, I was met with strong outrage, a nasty attitude, and extreme aggression INSTANTLY from Stacy. So much so all I could do was hang up in tears. I understand canceling is bad, but what else am I supposed to do if I literally cannot make it. Am I supposed to prioritize their business over my own job?
When Stacy realized she did not have a card to charge my late fee too, she then apparently searched my Mother’s name (I’m a grown woman who have at no point had my mother pay for me) and called her threatening my fees to her while my mother was at work. Even my Mother’s co-workers who overheard the conversation called Stacy abusive. Luckily, they also did not have her valid credit card to charge. If they were to have charged it, that would have been theft as my Mother has nothing to do with my appointment or payment. This was financial bullying.
Some of the horrible things Stacy said about me to my Mother is that I need medication and that I’m immature, among other horrible things I will not make public. I have never experienced such a personal attack from a business or said professionals representing the business. I am extremely upset and distraught over this interaction, and the fact that they called bothering my Mother 3 times over that span of a few days is unprofessional in my opinion, especially when this should have never had anything to do with my Mother. I have been a client longer, too.
Looking forward to putting Stacy's verbal and financial attacks behind me and finding a professional service with respectful people…or at least one’s that don’t call my mother on me and slander me.
Fully expect a snarky response from the owner, but I have a right to share my experience.
EDIT TO ADD RESPONSE TO OWNER: Thanks for the condescending reply, but you missed the point. Never was I confused about a late fee, I am complaining about you calling my mom and bad...
