I shopped at this store for the first time yesterday, as I’ve been losing a lot of weight, it was time for some new clothes, and I was looking for some good deals. They had a huge selection (from 00-5XL if I remember correctly) and everything was so reasonably priced! Reading the existing reviews about “rude staff” I can genuinely say that I don’t understand where those came from. I was greeted the moment I walked through the door. They allowed me to shop unbothered and without “stalking” me (which I’m sure anyone can relate to the fact that being followed by store employees like a vulture is less than satisfying). They checked on me a couple times, and even offered to hold my items I had selected at the front so I didn’t have to carry them around. It was close to closing time when I was wrapping up, but I didn’t feel rushed at all by the employees. They still offered to let me try things on, hang on to what I’ve picked so I could grab more without full hands, and answered any questions I had. When I went to check out, they offered me the option to sign up for their rewards system. They give a 15% off coupon for your birthday month, and when they realized my birthday was in a few days and the month was almost over they offered to let me use my coupon for that purchase. During the time I was checking out some more than ...interesting (to say the least) people came in arguing as to why they couldn’t sale a men’s jacket there (it’s women’s only clothing, and the item reeked of cigarette smoke on top of that), and they treated them as respectfully as they treated everyone else in the store. The customer service was top notch, and I got a ton of new items for less that $50 after the sale they were holding and my coupon. I’ll definitely be returning for every new shopping spree I need during the remainder of my weight...
Read moreWhat began as a pleasant shopping experience went incredibly south as I found myself in their dressing room, half clothed, hearing a rapping on my dressing room door, and being summoned out immediately. I did not understand what was happening! I had already been in the store for quite some time, made a $100+ purchase, been let in by an employee to one of their locked dressing rooms, only to find the local Edmond Police Department officers, and the employees all standing in front of me as I opened my dressing room door. Needless to say...I WAS IN SHOCK. I was asked by the officers to either mask up or leave. What I don’t understand is why they felt the need to call the authorities to have a discussion about mask use, when they had already initiated a discussion and had told me that they would come back and let me know what their final decision was after checking with the authorities. Apparently, I didn’t need a mask to shop there, I had already checked out once. Their own employee unlocked one of their dressing rooms to let me in and try on clothes, with no mention of needing a mask for her to be able to unlock the door an let me in. They then chose to usurp City of Edmond protocol and contacted Edmond Police, a law enforcement entity, as opposed to Code Enforcement, which is the proper channel for addressing their concern. This experience has left me traumatized and confused. When I go out to public, I become anxious at the thought of entering a business, I don’t know what to expect. The whole incident was so unexpected and uncalled for, and extremely unsettling. I truly feel like I cannot enter a dressing room anymore, and...
Read moreShopping wise there is just fine. The clothes there are good prices and good items. However selling there and the staff in general is terrible. I had a box of clothes to sell and only after I filled out the information to hand it over for appraisal did they tell me it would be a 3.5 hour wait. However that turned into a 5 hour wait. Staff was rude when I asked them about how much time it would take after I came back at the 3 hour mark. They complained that they were super busy and packed and yet there were at least 7 girls behind the counter just standing there talking. In the end I got my box back with them taking nothing. I could tell from the way the clothes were arranged that they never even looked at my stuff. So there went 5 hours of my life down the drain.
Edit: to the owners response you called me back on a Monday while an average person is at work (bonus points because I went on break to call you back because I wanted to hear your point of view). I'm very sorry that you apparently see my honest review of an experience as a personal attack against you and your business. It is a criticism that I will not be changing as you yourself were not pleasant as I tried yo voice my reasons. The issues with the buying have been explained however the staff problem is still an issue and though other reviews say this is not a problem it still is. Reviews are meant so that criticism can be taken and others can make their own decisions. I'm very glad you called and that we talked. I will not change my review but I appreciate the discussion...
