The Elegant Man — Attraction in El Cajon

I walked in to Elegant Man with my wife. We were looking for a suit for my son. My wife found the place and wanted me to come along. I assumed we were renting the suit for my son. The suit was for his homecoming and he was voted into the court. The store location is in downtown El Cajon on Main st. near the court house. Parking to the location can be tricky during peak hours but ample parking surrounding the location. No more than 30 second walk. Entering the store you will find the store is clean and well kept. Immediately you find the coats and shirts are stylish. I was even more surprised to find the store larger than what you would think looking from the outside. There is another side to the store and that too is well kept and clean. We were greeted by a store assistant but, then helped by Mike. Mike was a great help, knowledgeable and knows how to get the best look. We just told him the color, he looked at my son, and instantly picked out a great suit for my son, that was young and modern. He helped us match up a shirt, tie, and pocket square. From the cut of the suit to the fabric, I was bracing myself for a high rental cost. After all the service of fitting and measuring, Mike told me and my wife the price. I said, that's a reasonable price, again assuming we were renting the suit. I mentioned to him "not bad of a price for a rental" He steps back and says "No that's the price to buy". I was floored, because the price came with the tailoring included free. I easily have bought and paid 3 times more at the Men's Warehouse and paid the extra cost for the tailoring. To top it all off, we came in on a Tuesday and asked to pick up the suit on Friday. Again, I was bracing myself for extra money for the rush tailoring. Mike said "How about Thursday?" again I had to catch myself. Mike was a great help, always smiling and very attentive. He really knows his stuff. I know my stuff in men's fashion, but he knows his stuff. The price as I alluded too are more than reasonable for the cut and style you are trying to achieve. I did not mention the price because reasonable is different from person to person. But if you ever shopped men's fashion, suits, or bespoke. You will know that its not cheap and he gives you a reasonable price for an expensive look. He has it all. I will be shopping at Elegant Man for all my Elegant Men's fashion needs...

I came across The Elegant Man when we needed to find a suit for my husband, and I am so glad that I did! Mike has an incredible eye for style and size. He immediately picked out several options, all of which looked fantastic. He also took the time to ensure the entire outfit was perfect, from the suit to shirt, tie, pocket square, and shoes. Even better, he had everything tailored so it fit my husband flawlessly.

We walked out with one suit and several shirts the first time, and then headed back the next time we needed an outfit for my 30th high school reunion. The outfit was not one my husband would have picked on his own, but Mike was spot on again! My husband was voted “Most Dapper Spouse” at the reunion (proud wife moment).

We returned for a wedding - it was a gay wedding in Palm Springs so we wanted my hubs to look extra stylish, and Mike delivered again! The combo of slim fit black jeans, white shirt, gray jacket, white pocket square, and white sneakers was {chef’s kiss}.

Our most recent visit was for a prom-themed birthday party. Mike managed to find a suit that is super stylish (think Tom Ford) but still giving an 80’s vibe. I’m in love with this outfit! We will be back for two upcoming weddings…and for pretty much any other wardrobe needs for my husband. I cannot recommend Mike and The Elegant Man...

All I can say about this place is WOW WOW WOW!!! Saum and Mike are the best! I was unable to find a suit to rent or to buy for my big boy for 5/28/2022 prom. I called the Elegant Man, and since I called them it was nothing but a greeeaatt experience! We live in Mira Mesa the drive with traffic was a bit overwhelming, I was frustrated and angry since my son had waited last minute. The moment we set foot within the Store it was nothing but great. Saum made my son feel confident, he knew he would be able to find him the perfect suit! I felt very welcomed and happy to see my son so handsome and happy! I tell you, this will be our place to go!!!
