Valley Q Bargain — Attraction in El Monte

I recently visited this local spot because i read its a great place to find discounts on items. I found they are a very large store. The prices on generic items are great, 1-4$ is the price range for almost anything generic from food to cosmetics, to bath and body, auto, tools, crafts, medicine, etc. The prices on brand name items are basically what you would pay in a regular grocery store without discounts. This was a disappointment due to CVS and Food4less being across the street, I expected a brand name discount on those items if not why would a customer buy anything brand name here if not just for the purpose of saving time by not having to visit a grocery store and a dollar store right after. While in line i studied others purchase items and didn't see one customer purchase not even one brand name item here. The owners need to take this into account, lowering brand name items even .50 cents would increase overall sales tremendously. The store was clean, cashiers were pleasant. Although i did notice being followed around isle after isle, which is something im getting used to not being Hispanic and new to the city of El Monte. Its extremely noticeable, as i sent my Hispanic husband back into the store before leaving for a last minute item, and he did not have the same monitored experience i had. Race should not be an issue in 2025, citizens what innocent until proven guilty but as buisness owners do not provide that to their own customers. Hence the reason i do most shopping online. I may return there were isles i did not get to explore due to getting uncomfortable...

My go-to store for when I need disposable sundries on the cheap. $1 pain patches? Check. $2 Windshield Wipers? Check. $1 Acne Face Wash? Check. The owner is usually around on weekdays and I always let him know any special requests to look for at the wholesalers. The cashier girls are always nice and customers...

Me and my girl come here shopping for all household needs hygiene,snacks,clothes etc this place truely has the bargains and as much as i want to help out the business i wish i could keep the store to myself and mine...haha thank...
