Subject: Complaint Regarding Manager Val - Lego Store Elizabeth, NJ Dear Lego Customer Service, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent experience at the Lego store in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This location has held a special place in my heart for many years, as I have been a loyal customer and have enjoyed bringing my children there. During my most recent visit, I encountered a manager named Val. Despite being a long-time customer and having made a significant purchase during many visits, I was deeply dissatisfied with the level of customer service I received. Val's demeanor was demeaning and condescending. While she may have provided the correct information regarding my inquiry, the way she communicated was entirely unprofessional and lacked any sense of customer care. I have worked in customer service for many years, and I can confidently say that I have never encountered such a negative interaction. Her approach did not enhance my experience as a customer; it actively detracted from it. It is incredibly disheartening to experience such poor service at a store that I have cherished for so long. The Elizabeth Lego store has been a place of joy and creativity for my family, and I have always appreciated the positive atmosphere. However, my interaction with Val has unfortunately led me to reconsider my future patronage. I sincerely hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to address the customer service practices at this location. I am truly saddened to say that, as things stand, I do not believe I will be returning to the...
Read moreLast week my husband and my son went into the Lego store in Jersey Gardens Mall in NJ. My husband was wearing a mask but my son was not; he has a medical exemption and is unable to wear one - it was deemed unsafe to his health for him to actually wear one. When my son did not put the mask on, my husband and my son were both asked to leave the store by the employees Skylar and Jos. My son was so upset to not be able to be in the store and could not understand why he was asked to leave. I went into the store with my son and explained he has a medical exemption but they would not allow him in. Mask wearing is not a law; it is an executive order that states that people with medical exemptions (who would be deemed unsafe if they wore a mask) are allowed to not wear one. Throughout this entire pandemic I have yet to encounter a store that would absolutely not let my son in; this is such a shame and a disgrace especially considering this is a children's store. I am appalled by this and will be spreading the news about this unfortunate, discriminatory event. I am so offended by the lack of compassion from the employees and from...
Read moreOne of the best, if not THE BEST Lego store in this area. Let me count the ways: They're big. They have a lot of space and never feels too crowded. I believe they're bigger than most of the Lego stores in NJ. The staff is polite, professional, and courteous. Shout out to Amber, Matt, Thales, and, what I call, the "J" team, consisting of Jos, James, Jack, Joseph, and Jenny. I have 2 kids and they are always willing to show them around or play with some of their open Lego sets. Priceless. They have a robust stock of Lego themes, from Star Wars, Ninjago, City, & Friends, among others. If they don't have it, most likely no one has it (well maybe the NYC Lego stores). Like I said, for these reasons, and more, you should check this store out first when doing your Lego shopping. They are inside the Elizabeth Mall and have free parking. They're on the first floor. Go...
