Worse place for swimming lessons. It is a waste of time and money. Please do not put your kids in the swimming classes at this place. The female instructors just pass the time. Every now and then they check the clock to finish it off and waste time almost doing nothing, they don’t even teach the kids properly. My daughter passed 3 swim lessons from YMCA they teach her so well but unfortunately the Schaumburg place closed last year. So my daughter got a long break so I put her at this place so she can complete all of her lessons. On the first day they told me they will see how she’s doing annd after two classes they will move her up so I said okay. On the first day they didn’t even take the test. They completely ignored her, kept her on the side, and in 40 minutes of class time they hardly gave her 10 minutes of teaching. I know it was a group lesson but there is no exception. You should treat all kids the same way, even my daughter felt left out. They did the same exact thing in second class so I complained about it. The head instructor told me she will talk to them. After that I thought to take her off of the swimming lessons but then I thought at least she can practice but no. On the third day of class they taught her a little better. Maybe because I complained and after that same thing happened. Today was the last class and I noticed they were teaching them better maybe because it was the last class and then they proceeded to fail my daughter saying that she doesn’t listen, really? The girls didn’t do their job properly and they put it on my daughter, that’s how they are...
Read moreThis place is ran by 16 year olds who don’t know how to run a gym. Upstairs in the weight room there are high schoolers screwing around. Some play pranks while the other is mid reps. The pool is another story. I use the warm water pool for my muscle and skeletal disabilities. They allow children into the warm water therapy pool-that clearly states it is for therapeutic uses only-and don’t restrict their behaviors… Children can use the lagoon pool for playing and the lap pool for swimming lessons. There is ZERO reason for children to be playing in the therapy disrupting adults and children with disabilities or medical need. Management doesn’t care.
Update: manager deleted her comments and refuses to accommodate people with...
Read moreI love my experience every time I come to the park district. There is so much you can do there. You can get in your cardio via treadmill, elliptical, stairmaster, bike, plus other machines. You can also get a workout in by hitting the weights and they have a ton of machines to choose from plus free weights. Personal trainers on site plus physical therapy. They have a huge basketball area with three full court areas. The locker rooms are always nice and clean, they have water fountains all over the place and complementary towels. There is also have racquetball courts if that's what your into. The facility is huge and clean. Strongly recommended place to go and improve your health in a nice, friendly, and clean...
