This is a place where there are several places to shop and eat.
Overall, I would say there is plenty of variety although I don't know that I would be over the moon excited about it. Rather, there are a number of large and small places to shop, and several solid locations to eat and get coffee.
The convenient location is what puts this place on the map. It's just a little east of the Beisterfield exit on the Elgin Ohare, now known as 390 or the most freaking expensive toll way in the state, and just west of Arlington Heights road. So if you are taking the locals to avoid the legalized theft of the toll way system, either coming to or from the city or if heading to the airport, then this is the perfect place to grab some chow. It's also just east of the big hospital complex at Alexian. So don't eat hospital crud...just drive 30 seconds down the street.
Also to the south is a huge statue of an elk.
Speaking of which, if you are heading north to see the Elk in Elk Grove and it's cold and snowy, grab a coffee or something to most on before driving up Arlington Heights road.
Also, there isn't much else in Elk Grove like this. Everything else is largely residential or industrial so in truth other options do tend to be limited beyond this shopping center. This is just in the technical sense of Elk Grove though as surrounding suburbs have a number of similar places. Or, on that drive to the airport it's like the half way stop or watering hole if you are coming from Elgin and there isn't much else to the east that isn't grimy and crummy. Beyond this it gets highly industrial and then you have the Higgins road wasteland corridor north of the airport with trailer homes, strip clubs, etc. So stop here, fill up, chow down, gas up, use the facilities before you keep going. Nothing against Elk Grove. It's just the...
Read moreLove this shopping center. It's in a very convenient location, and it's easy to get in and out. They have plenty of parking for all of the stores. I really enjoy going to Jersey Mike's, Jewel, and the Bank of America. This shopping center has one of the only Bank of America locations in the general area so I'm there a lot. There is also a Citibank, Great Clips, Little Ceasar's, Subway, Auto Zone, T-Mobile, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, UPS Store, Panera Bread, etc located...
Read moreI ran in to get a quick sandwich with a car full before a road trip. I forgot my mask and they were so rude. I offered to cover my face with my sweatshirt (thicker than a mask) but the woman was just rude. I've never had jersey mikes before and was excited to try it but I'll never go back. I was rushing and forgot to bring in a mask. How about offer me one or be kind about it? No attitude necessary. I get rules are rules...
