to preface, i never expect to be waited on hand & foot, but i do expect decent treatment, ESPECIALLY if i'm spending $10-$20 per person. when we walked in, we were seated by gaby and when we initially ordered, i asked if they had sweet tea, which she said yes to. when she left to get our drinks, a party of around 10+ came in. we figured that we should order before they do because we didn't want to wait for our food after them. however, we soon noticed that she began to ignore us to serve the larger party. we tried waving her down 4 times, before one of her coworkers brought her by & said she saw us trying to get her attention. gaby was clearly annoyed & took our order quickly, walking away to serve the large party again. i took a sip of my iced tea & realized that it was unsweetened & when i tried to wave gaby down again, she turned her back on us. at this point, gaby is brazenly ignoring us, so i got up and asked the next waitress for a different drink. she admitted that they didn't have sweet tea, but could bring me sugar. i simply asked to exchange it for a soda water because sugar only mixes when hot. back at our table, we needed napkins and 2 other waitresses checked on/helped us instead of gaby to grab us chips and bring us our appetizer. the ceviche wasn't bad but compared to another restaurant in town, taqueria ayala, it was twice the price and didn't have as much flavor. we wanted our order to go, as it was clear that we were going to have to fight to be served. to make things worse, gaby then came by to confirm our order again after fully putting in the large party's order & after 2 couples that came in after us were fully served. at this point i'm over it, so i got up & asked the same waitress that had been helping us that we wanted our order to go and she told gaby while she passed by with more food for the big party. gaby was annoyed & asked me if i was sure, faking concern because it made her look bad. she came to our table after leaving the kitchen saying that our food was already plated. we agreed to take it then, but she was lying because after bringing us a box for our ceviche, she said that they had already boxed our food. happy to be done, we brought our bill to the front & gaby took the machine to ring us up & waved her coworkers off. she was shocked to see that we didn't tip and had the audacity to ask if we worked for the mines, which doesn't matter to her, because she will never profit off our money again. after paying, we finally got our food & she said it took so long because they had to remake our rice and beans as they can't just put our food from the plate to the box... no comment on that one. i wish i could say that the food was good, but it was the worst yet. the beans were salty, the rice plain, and the shrimp tacos were literally rotten. the cabbage slaw was so bad that when you opened the container it kicked you in the face & when i bit into my shrimp it had a sour kick that i know was not seasoning. it was so bad that i ended up throwing away my food. we also ordered a chicken sandwich and shrimp enchiladas & the rest of it seemed not completely rotten like my food. overall though, we will not be back for take-out or dine-in ever again. i'd rather go to the mcdonald's with rotten grease nearby because at least i wouldn't be spending $58 on poor service...
Read moreIf you’re wanting Mexican food this is NOT the place. This is not authentic Mexican food. Saying this is a Mexican restaurant is a disgrace to real Mexican restaurants. Very disappointed with my “arroz de pollo” it came drenched in white cheese, not authentic. I had more cheese on my plate than lettuce for the salad. We also ordered Camarones Al mojo de ajo which translates to shrimp in garlic sauce. What we got was grilled unpeeled shrimp. The waitress asked if we wanted sauce for the shrimp. We said yes, thinking it would be the garlic sauce. Nope! What she brought was a spicy dipping sauce. I told her what she brought was not what we ordered. She had the “manager” come talk to us. The manager explained they cook the shrimp in garlic powder. Which then really makes this garlic powder shrimp and not what they advertise. I told the manager what 🍤 al mojo de ajo is and she just shrugged her shoulders and asked if we wanted to order something different. It’s really insulting and deceitful to have a menu that doesn’t really reflect the authenticity of Mexican food. I would have been better off going to KFC next door. At least I would have gotten what I ordered. Terrible food, not what the price! Taco Bell may have been more authentic 😏 one more thing…I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that serves full size beans with the chips. Real Mexican restaurants always serve refried beans. How am I supposed to dip chips in a full beans? Ordered a Corona, it was warm. Get it together!!
The waitress was nice. This was no fault of the waitress. She was attentive and apologetic. Something the...
Read moreService is slow, food was mediocre. We ordered guacamole as appetizer and it was awful, it was brown and tasteless. My son ordered a torta and they gave him a bun with the meat on the side and some lettuce, tomato and onion on the side as well. We also ordered a pizza from their kids menu and it was the worst pizza ever! Looked like a frozen boxed one that was just heated up in the microwave and it was even sticking to the plate. Queso flameado with a chorizo that was not real chorizo, so eww! We did not finish none of the dishes. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for a good and authentic Mexican food restaurant. Oh, and I almost forgot, they were charging me with things we did not even ordered. My bill was doubled up because of that. I read in detail and found out the items on the bill were not all ours so I told the server and she fixed it. I am surprised how they have so many good reviews. I had a bad experience and will...
