I was very surprised the first time I went to the planetarium in Erie because I drove right past it several times and couldn't figure out where it could be. My GPS and map informed me that the planetarium was there, but I didn't see any huge dome or museum, or even a building that they could fit a dome into! I was very surprised to see that the planetarium that Erie boasts was actually an incredibly dinky little dome that could fit maybe twenty people in the seats. My first visit didn't seem memorable but after going home and reflecting on my experience I realized that I actually really enjoyed the experience that I had at the planetarium. The festive Christmas decorations created a warm and enchanting atmosphere, and the entire staff, from the helpful administrators to the incredibly kind on-site coordinator, Rick Schwab, went above and beyond to ensure a flawless event.
Rick deserves special recognition. He was an invaluable partner throughout the planning process, guiding me with thoughtful suggestions while always being receptive to my vision. Even when I arrived late and felt overwhelmed, Rick discreetly ushered me through a back entrance, preventing any unnecessary stress.
Thanks to his expertise and the impeccable service of the entire venue and Sabella's catering staff, my wedding exceeded all expectations. It was the perfect evening, filled with love, laughter, and...
Read moreThis was so much more than what I was expecting. I absolutely loved it. There are three buildings to tour now. The old carriage house that has a "this is us" display all about Erie and the history of Erie and manufacturing had some really great displays. I would actually like to go back and spend more time there. Then the Erie Military Museum, and finally the Watson -Curtze mansion. One of the employees (volunteer?) walked with us and gave us so much history about the family and what each room was used for. Plan on a good three hours to see everything. It is well worth the $10...
