Staff is often incredibly nice, and try to help the best they can(occasionally able to make copies of important papers). The place leans towards favoring those with deep pockets though. Front door sheriffs are pleasant. The main issues there is zero(ZERO) representation for the poor, and there's no electronics allowed inside even though the staff are walking around the building with access to their own devices... And digital evidence.. how would one bring it to trial? Lawyers and attorneys can do whatever they want, get special seating, can contact judges personally, can be witnesses when citizen witnesses are forcefully removed, bring evidence inside unfettered, and have office space provided.. but the building is designed to be a huge obstacle for anyone else. Hence the stars. Our tax dollars are being severely wasted on the facility designed for use only by people of occupational law.
Motion court@ only 9? Seriously? Get paid 130+ grand a year and it's just "not able to be staffed"? "Too much work"? Get out. Seriously get out of Erie whoever makes these decisions and whoever expects to be paid so freaking much.
Whoever manages this building, needs to be fired. Whoever manages ANY of these functions for Erie needs relieved and change needs made. Like a decade ago.
Judicial branch was supposed to be the last line of defense, within the executive powers of government, for citizens and it's squarely built and catered for the occupations that take up residence with-in the building.
I have lost ALL faith in any sort of "Justice".
This place seriously doesn't deliver.
I watched a judge LAUGH at me after I tried to object to several statements that were false. Full stop. They were fully cooperating (Elizabeth Kelly was the offending judge and should be relieved of duty. And Atchley Holmes' Attorney Office and Law Company sent the lawyers willing to lie and reject my own witnesses while keeping the defendants attorneys in-house...) outside of the hearing and it didn't matter what statistics I had in front of me (... that means the 9 tenets of well being WEREN'T AND AREN'T being met, as described in Family Law books).
There is no justice here and the law DOES NOT apply to us all equally like the judge declared within the hearing.
This place is a testament to the DESTRUCTION of Justice and stability of the...
Read moreCalled the marriage bureau twice today. I moved out of state since being married in PA in 2021, the new state is not accepting my PA documentation. The first clerk I spoke with was so kind and patient while she let me explain the situation. I did end up having to call back later today as the DMV here is still not accepting this answer. This time she needed to direct me straight to her supervisor, no issue there! I spoke with her supervisor, the new Clerk of Records. She was also so polite and kind to me while I went through my whole debacle. She informed me systems have been updated since my initial marriage. She offered the new documentation to me to see if this will help this new DMV. She gave me all the information I needed! THANK YOU! for making the most stressful situation bearable. All government employees should be...
Read moreVery Corrupt court system in Erie County. Family law is definitely the worst part & The judges are very biased. They don’t let you speak, and often side with men - they do not provide you legal counsel unless the other party has a lawyer - They Will not provide PFA or restraining orders for people, struggling with domestic relations, unless Do you have an extreme case with plenty proof- Basically, all they want is money - And are not there to serve the people . The staff doesn’t even know how to help assist you with the correct paperwork or lead you in the right direction to receive help in this facility- they are very unprofessional/ uneducated individuals who work at this court house & I wouldn’t give this place a...
