Very unprofessional admissions office, caters to the select few & does not honor the principal of brotherhood / loyalty . Not a very economical choice, and in comparison - not a very quality education, or memorable college experience in my endeavors here. Limited professors , expect to have the same class after class - creating limited counseling perspectives. While there may be a large foreign population, this school is not very well known across the states or internationally. Most people do not know of Gannon. Better off looking elsewhere. I do not recommend. Re: “Renamed Gannon College in 1944, it received its own charter as a four-year men’s college. In 1964, Gannon became co-educational and established a graduate school. In 1979, the college attained University status.” To my knowledge this college was created out of necessity and lack of educational opportunities in the city. Read moreI am screwed with student loans. The financial office was absolutely no help with anything - I was in there a lot and never got answers!! Terrible school for a military member. I am in the Air Force reserves and they could not process paperwork properly for me (never got my payment nor credit to the school but military records show it was sent so school kept my money). I have since graduated and went to the office of career development for placement/job search assistance - again no help! The guy told me to look around online (yeah I already do that) and there was no follow up at all! What is he paid for? I am looking for a job on my own but the schools claim to help with placement is a complete lie. Going to GANNON DID HELP ME IN ANYWAY. I AM STUCK WITH LOANS FROM A SCHOOL THAT ONLY WANTED MY MONEY AND HAS NOT ENHANCED MY CAREER! I DO NOT...
Read moreI've really never been to the university myself but I live in Erie and I see it daily every single day and from an outsiders opinion I think Gannon is a very safe and friendly atmosphere for new students starting out for the 1st time .. I also noticed that the workout center is huge and as Windows you can see out of from top to bottom so you can see the machines from the outside and it just looks really cool and it's also probably bigger than the 2 YMCA's put together here.. also I know that it's close to a lot of restaurants and stores shops to get things you may need at last minute so that's always a plus and unless it's walking distance to everything you need... As far as the classes go I don't know because I've never been there I went to Texas...
