I'm a regular Michael's customer and love this store but my most recent experience with this location was extremely frustrating to put it lightly. I had noticed on my bank statement that the store TRIPLE charged me for a single transaction I had made on January 15th. One of the charges managed to be refunded but I still needed one more refund for the second additional charge. I called this location to tell them the situation and the assistant manager told me to wait a couple days because the second refund might still be making its way through since it was probably a system error. I waited, no refund. Four days later (today) I made a 20 minute drive to the store to get a refund. I was met with the manager (Beth) who was suspicious of my situation and wasn't being very helpful until I had to express more urgency and extremity with my situation. She had told me that it must have been a bank error and I had to contact my bank or contact Michael's customer service. But I had already contacted Michael's customer service and they told me that they couldn't help me with my situation, only the store I had purchased from can help me since they are the ones who would be able to issue me a refund and confirm that I was double charged. Even after showing the manager these screenshots of the charges, she told me she couldn't help me because she needed to see the "actual thing" referring to my bank statement. I proceeded to pull up my Chase Bank account and showed her the charged and only then did she take my receipt and look up the transaction number in the back room. She came back to repeat the same thing that she can't help me because they have no proof of a second charge even though there is proof on my bank statement. She provided me her phone number and some information that was actually helpful but I wish I was taken seriously since the beginning. I called my bank to get help and they basically told me that this is in fact the Michael's Escondido stores fault and that they (Chase) can give me temporary credit back until they dispute with Michael's and get the refund from them themselves. Read moreI had shopped here for Instacart Order and an associate who disliked her job very much tried to help me find floral foam for a customer that I was shopping for upon telling me that she doesn't know where her manager put it because everything is so disorganized, I went to the front to go check out then noticed I had to replace a damaged item And went back to self check out. i was then followed by that same associate to self check out who told me I had to go back in line even though the customers in front of me were going to self check out by themselves not only did she follow me to the front, but also noticed other people forming a different line for self checkout. Not only did she not stop customers from cutting the line but told me specifically as if I made her do more than her job already. Nasty behavior and nasty customer service. Read moreI called this store prior to my visit to see if they had some nice quart jars that I wanted for my pantry to store and display food in. They checked and found several for me. I went to the store and found the majority of them, but couldn't find the total number I had called about. Someone looked around the store and located a few extra jars for me. When I was being checked out the gentleman behind the counter offered to wrap all the jars and bag them so that they would be safe on the trip home. He was super friendly as was the other person on the floor who helped me. I was very pleased in locating all the jars amd with all the help I received.
