This Uber rich giant is over reaching & Causing people who are not even going to the stadium to lose access to the road and other things across the road from the stadium like Alton Baker dog park. it's inappropriate and should not be happening
They can direct traffic, and they should, but they should not be allowed to prevent people from going across the street
I went on a game day, not knowing it was a game day.and the idiots directing traffic, told me I could get to the dog park parking lot, with my canoe, which cannot be carried from other places besides that parking lot
When I got near the parking lot, other idiots directing traffic told me I had to go around to the other entrance on a different street
So I drove all the way around, waited in a line, in this Was like seven hours before the game was supposed to start
But because people wanted to party early and paid Alton Stadium to do so in their stupid parking lot across the street
All of us with dogs and canoes and kayaks we're not allowed access to our sport where we actually get exercise and I just drink beer and watch other people do sports
When I finally got to the other entrance I was told it was closed for the game
They do not have the right to do this and somebody needs to stop them
Also put the dam schedule on your website so we can avoid this stupid people in plan around these ridiculous games where you take over the entire freaking world & Prevent anyone else from...
Read moreAutzen stadium, where great teams come to die! I have been a die-hard Duck fan for almost 50 years, and have spent many fall weekend days at Autzen. Starting in the 70s when you could change seats at halftime, because they figured if the seats weren’t taken by then, they were up for grabs. Seasons where 2-3 wins was a good season, games where only 5-10 thousand people came. Oh how far we have come. What an amazing atmosphere!! One of Michigan’s famous coaches, who came from the Big House that seats 110,000 people said that Autzen was the loudest stadium that he had ever been in. The crowd is most definitely part of the game, our goal is to disrupt the opposing teams. When they have to call a time out because of the crowd.....what a great way to support your team. There are times when people get too drunk, but for the most part Duck fans are nice to the opposing fans.
Do yourself a favor, come to a game at Autzen Stadium. Take the walk from campus, across the bridge over the Willamette River where the rocks are balanced in the channel, and along the jogging path. When you come out of the trees and catch sight of the stadium.....what a beautiful sight. Walking back after a big win with 20,000 other fans chanting “LET’S GO DUCKS!!!” is an amazing way to spend a...
Read moreReally enjoyed the game here and the stadium is pretty nice. Seats 54 thousand and was sold out. Parking is always a problem as downtown quarters are tight. Our parking alone cost 50 dollars. Food prices were very reasonable for stadium food with hotdogs in the 4 dollar range. Views from around the stadium were all good even high up. You can rent padded seats there to make things a bit more comfortable. The adult fans on both sides were very cordial with each other which was great to see.
A couple things that could use improvement IMO. The music they were playing sounded like someone was talking on a cell phone with bad reception because they had to bleep all the expletives out of the songs. For all the families attending it was a poor choice.
Additionally, at half-time they ran out of hotdogs. Who runs out of hotdogs at a sold-out game at halftime?
There was very little security especiallybfor those acting up and causing trouble.
Lastly, the student section was yelling unified profanities and bigoted comments during the game. UofO only responded after the game when numerous news outlets called them out on it. It was pretty shameful for the student body to act the way they did as well as the students smoking in front of us despite our asking them...
