Well just want to say that I appreciate the papers and resources. Worksource is great in itself but the desk woman in front was pretty nasty. People would say thank you to her and she would not even respond back, "youre welcome", or anything of that sort. I brought my dog in with me because I don't ever leave my dog inside a car alone. I go in, and say " hope its ok that I brought my dog with me, I'm here to check in" . She asked for my name and told me to sit down (didnt even tell me I couldn't bring dogs inside at that point) I said thank you., and she said nothing just a small grunt or whatever that was. Im only upset because she had the audacity to call someone over, (I'm assuming her manager) whispered something while staring at me but honestly didn't think much of it, we weren't bothering anybody. I get called in and a worker says that they need to ask the manager if my dog is allowed to be there... I was asked to sit down and moment's later he apologized and said they had regulations.. I stood up and I was offered papers to some internetship programs and resources for programming, which I appreciate. It was just unnecessary and I drove pretty far out for it; could have been handled better and that lady needs to be more understanding with people and treat them with more respect. At least appreciate people saying thank you to you. I saw people that came in that looked like they had it really bad, does it hurt to be polite to them? Just needed to vent with a late review to this...
Read moreThe experience I have had with Oregon’s unemployment system has been profoundly disappointing. I understand that claims take time, but what I have encountered goes beyond delay. It is a system that feels broken, confusing, and indifferent to the real-world impact on people’s lives.
After months of waiting, I have received almost no communication, no clear timeline, and no accountability. Every phone call ends in long holds and vague answers. Every online update just leads to more questions. I have been told to attend multiple meetings and fill out duplicate paperwork with no explanation of how these steps connect to my appeal or when I can expect a resolution.
For people like me, professionals trying to stabilize after job loss, doing everything right, and still left in limbo for months, this system creates unnecessary stress and financial harm. It is not just inefficient. It is dehumanizing.
Oregon’s unemployment program needs transparency, communication, and compassion. Claimants should not have to chase information or feel punished for seeking help that is supposed to be there in...
Read moreCame in to get the WIOA application from the front desk as the employment specialist told me to do.
The gentleman at the front desk ask me the same two question they ask every time I go there. One, have you done your NCRC and two, have you talked to an employment specialist. I answer yes to both questions and he still refers me to call and make an appointment with an employment specialist.
Its like the people that work the front desk have no Idea what is going on there.
Long story short after I rase my voice to get the attention of the supervisor, who still has to check on weather I have my NCRC and have seen and employment specialist, I finally get the application... that was at the front desk... like the employment specialist told me, where it would be.
This place and the people there are a barrier to gaining employment.
Please stop pushing the NCRC its a...
