Lake Technical College — Attraction in Eustis

This school is not a good school if you are a person of color the staff is very racist and rude they cater to the white students in the class and don’t teach fairly the teacher I had was rude and never helped assist with anything you don’t understand. I complained to the then department head about my treatment and the following Monday I was dropped from my program with no valid excuse I had just made it to my final semester with 2 months left the counselors had already congratulated me on. My success making it the the final semester and I had already taken the first exam for pn3 when they came and told me they had just realized I had a bad work habits grade (mind you work habits is at the sole discretion of the teacher it is a composite of attitude appearance attendance etc) academic wise I had only As so there was no legitimate reason to take me out of the program after I had already been passed to the final level and already had tested and passed that as well. When I went to file a complaint at the school they refused to give me a meeting with the board and acted like they had lost my last test so they couldn’t tell where I left off it was a complete run around and 4000$ down the drain I paid out of pocket and was due one recycle which I was not granted though they said everyone has one recycle to go back where they left off which for me would have been finishing the final 2 month I had left I was also snuffed out of this opportunity because they said they were changing their program and couldn’t guarantee that what I had learned already would be covered by the new program a bunch of bologna but they will pass people who have not passed their teas or tabe if they are a friend of the professor or someone at the college they play a lot of games with peoples money and education. I started to sue them for their misconduct and behavior and the more I think about it I still might what happened to me was a great injustice but they do it to a lot of people especially the black students so beware if you...

PCT instructor is obviously not being reported properly for being all around unprofessional, unnecessarily shady, biased and as unhelpful as can be. The administration seems to be complicit with no real oversight. They get to run the school how they want to and are very condescending to mostly minority students and after witnessing minority staff get talked to as if they're children confirmed my opinion. I question if they're following proper protocol for student privacy on financial aid, accounts or HIPPA because instructors are all in business that they shouldn't be in. Who is checking on operations here? A real outside survey of students would give the school board real insight of how people are treated here. An instructor who wasn't helpful and doesn't care to have certain demographics succeed was my experience from DAY ONE. Always seemed to be working AGAINST us. Some people should just not be educators. Attending this school reminds me of the "GET OUT" movie IYKYK. Continue your biased operations and "weeding out" people they PERSONALLY don't think are good enough by any means necessary. Don't ask questions because it seems this educator is there for a check and to make themselves feel good degrading the young people, (who generally don't have the life experience YET to deal with this type of nonsense) not to educate in my opinion. i was approved for a $500 scholarship 7 days before class was to start i was so happy i actually did it i was finally gonna be able to go to college i just needed to come up with the rest of the money before class started ok i hope i can do that now the question is how much do i need to come up with? i looked online it said $977 plus taxes and fees... i called i just wanted to be on the safe side and double check the lady told me "$475 plus books taxes and fees and youll need to get the uniform and shoes..." "ok my ID is an out of state ID will there be a different cost?" she says "yes..." "how much will all this cost including the out of state cost?" "let me transfer you to the financial aid department" ok so i ask her and she says "oh i have no idea" really so how am i suppose to know how much i need to barrow from family im not rich i need the numbers so she gives me a number to call ok hopefully they can tell me i call it no answer so i leave a message few hours go by no call back so i call again no answer umm ok call again the next day still no answer so i email them all i got was a automated email saying someone will be in contact with me umm ok when... its now monday night class was gonna start tomorrow for me and i still havent gotten any contact from anyone... they really dropped the ball on this one i dont know if they just suck at communicating or they just dont care about the students either way i will never go here and highly recommend looking somewhere else i do...
