After Image Styling Salon — Attraction in Everett

I’m only giving you two because the woman I used to see there. Lindsay was amazing. She did my hair for years and I always felt good when I left there. After she left, I was referred to Kimberleeann who I had seen Hair there and seemed very professional and like she knew what she was doing. Unfortunately, she did not have an opening so I scheduled with meerkat. I took half a day off work losing hundreds of dollars and when I got there at the time of service, She was with another client which I know often happens because hair can take longer than you expect, I sat down and was ready to wait and then she said oh I don’t have time for you today you have to reschedule. She didn’t say I’m so sorry or I’m sorry You nothing like that she just told me I had to reschedule. I believe the manager That day and she eminently apologized. I rescheduled with Kimberleeann. Kimberleeann was nice and professional during the visit. I had tried to tone my hair and unfortunately, it became more yellow. I am a natural blonde, but it’s dark blonde. I never have had a problem getting my hair highlighted despite doing my own hair a couple times a year. I only get my hair, professionally done one or two times a year. Lindsay never had a problem lighting my hair. I have a lot of hair and it’s curly so it’s always gonna be a little frizzy and damaged. I don’t mind. I told Kimberleeann this and showed her a picture of a highlighted hairstyle that I wanted. She told me no problem in her words. After the hair was done, she told me don’t worry. It’s going to look darker because I overturned it which it did. It was quite darker and reddish. She told me it would wash out and it would get lighter as I washed it. That is not what has happened. My hair has actually gotten more gold, which is the exact opposite of what I wanted and I told her that at the visit I told her I did not want gold hair. It is my least favorite. My hair is now extremely yellow and gold. I texted her asking for help with this. I even said of course I did tone it so I don’t mind paying for a little bit more With your help. I had already paid $350 at this point and taken half a day off work that I did not get paid for. She became irritated with me but then offered to blow out my hair for free and talk in person. She only had a time of 12 o’clock that day though and unfortunately, I ended up having to help my son at school. I asked her repeatedly when a better time would be for her and if we could keep our original appointment that I had made. She did not respond so I called the salon. My son is disabled and has many doctor appointment so I have to schedule my own time way out in advance. She answered the phone at the salon and I asked her when would be a good time to set up for my hair and if she Do it for $100 because it was partially her fault. She told me it absolutely was not her fault that it was all my fault because I had dyed my hair in the months before hand. I told her I had never had that issue before with Lindsay and she had told me repeatedly that she was a better hairstylist than Lindsay I could do my hair so much better than her but she couldn’t even lighten the top of my hair when I paid $350 to do it and told her specifically I don’t mind damaging my hair. I have a lot of it. I am so so disappointed with the salon! Lindsay was fantastic. She was kind and lovely and helpful. Kimberleeann act selfish immature and demands that you like whatever she does regardless if you are not getting what you asked for. I when I asked for her manager she told me that she doesn’t have a manager at that salon that she is her own boss. I told her I understand that but there is someone who runs that salon right? I had long hair for almost two years and was looking to go shorter. About two hours before my appointment, I received a call from her asking if I could come in early due to a cancellation. My appointment was scheduled for 5:30 p.m., but she called around 3:45 p.m. I informed her that I wouldn’t be able to make it until 4:10 p.m. She agreed, and we settled on 4:10 p.m.

When I arrived at the salon at 4:11 p.m., it seemed she was already working on another client. While that was understandable, it turned out that she had initially called someone else to come in early, and they arrived just minutes before me to get a service done. As a result, I had to wait 40 minutes for her to finish up another client. This should have been the red flag that I needed to leave immediately.

We discussed my desired haircut. I had mid-length to long curly hair with minimal layers. I asked for it to sit on my shoulders when dry with some face framing. I showed her pictures, and she confirmed that she could achieve that. We agreed that the shortest layer would be at my chin. However, instead she ended up cutting 80% of my hair off with the longest layer being chin length. I asked for more shape. I am so beyond satisfied with my experience. I had not had my hair professionally done in at least 12 years, only minor trims by my sister or box dyes, but I knew it was time for a change. I did weeks worth of research on the best salons in the area, best cut and color for my shape and skin tone. After Image was the highest rated salon I could find with amazing reviews and I can see why. Carrie took the time to find out why I wanted to change my hair, how I usually style my hair and how I intended to style my hair and just got a really good feel for me before moving on to my hair. She could tell I was looking for a big change but was a little timid so she took the color we chose and made it a little brighter around my face and i am IN LOVE.
