Decent, but small venue. We went to both Paw Patrol Live and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks. I do think the venue was too small for monster trucks as they didn't have space to set up for a lot of tricks, but for a first monster truck show for my kiddo, it was still fun.
My only real complaint is with the employees working at the entrance and the main food/snack venue.
For both shows I've been to, there hasn't been anyone outside prior to the show directing people on where to line up or informing people on when the doors would be opening. It seems really chaotic and unorganized. If they aren't having employees directing people, then there needs to be clear signage on where to line up. At the most recent show we went to, we had been waiting in a line for about 20 minutes up the side of the building, when they came out right before doors opening and said we needed to get in the other line. Everyone ended up merging the two lines because we had been waiting just as long as the other line and didn't think it was fair to tell everyone in one line to go to the back of the other. The confusing situation could have been avoided if literally any staff members were directing people on where to go upon arrival rather than right before doors open.
Additionally, both times, we've bought snacks at the main snack bar right when you walk in. The first time, there was a malfunction with their nacho cheese sauce machine and it took about 30 minutes to receive the nachos we paid for. Annoying but not a big deal, we still got what we ordered and it was fine!
This last time, I had asked for a powerade and they were out. Not a big deal, I got a water instead. But then they waited until after I had already paid to tell me that they were out of a significant majority of condiments for the hot dog I bought. This is something you should disclose up front before people pay because who wants a plain hot dog with just ketchup? Not only that, but we got to the venue before the doors opened, were one of the first groups in, and the popcorn we got was already stale, like it had been reused from the day before.
From now on, I think we'll try the other snack venues if we go to shows here in the future.
Hopefully these are two situations that they'll work out in the future so that there isn't any confusion or disappointment...
Read moreI went to Disney on Ice with my family of 5 including 3 small children ages 2, 4, and 7. We paid $85 for parking and then walked and stood in a long line. We got to the entry doors and I was told I was bot allowed to bring in my 7 inch by 9 inch cross body bag because it was considered a purse and bot a diaper bag! I had my wallet, my phone, my keys and my daughters medicated ointment. They told me I needed to hike it back to my car with alllllll these kids and rewalk back and stand in line all over again or else I could leave it on the ledge and hope it was there when I came back out. I was so embarrassed and upset. I asked several people why people with hugs backpacks were entering without even being checked and YES I saw SEVERAL small bags just like my own through the while arena. I was so upset ai went to the customer service desk and explained my situation and pointed out several other woman with purses and she was rude and unhelpful and made the whole thing way worse. I was so upset I almost left but looki g down and my 3 kids excited faces kbiw I just spent an astronomical amount on the tickets and parking I sat through the show upset. What should have been an awesome time was ruined because of the entrance, and the fact that when we got backnto our car I realized my daughters medicated ointment had fallen out of my sweatshirt pocket at the sgow which would NOT had happened had I had my bag. Medicine is considered to be carried under the law so I hope you will be more fair in the future to people instead of discriminating them. That medicine should bot have to be repaid for and neither should my bag that was most definitely NOT there when we came out. Absolutely terrible way to ruin...
Read moreLocated in Everett. Formerly known as the Xfinity Arena now Angel of the Winds. I have no clue why the name was changed. My daughter just had her graduation here at 4 on a Friday. So from my house in Kent to Everett not dealing with traffic should be about 45 minutes. It took me 2.5 hours to get to my daughter graduation because of the ridiculous amount of traffic that is going North. We left our house at 2pm expecting 2 hours to be MORE THAN ENOUGH travel time... but the traffic on this date was ridiculous and I just could not fig out why. So as my boyfriend used GPS to try to find us a faster route, we also found that EVERYONE else was trying to do the same. we went from freeway, to side street, to main street, and him doing 65 in the bus lane swerving in and out of traffic trying to get us here on time. I missed my daughter walk the stage. We have to do something about traffic that comes from south king county to the north end, its absolutely terrible. Not only that, people in seattle cannot drive. when the sun comes out here, they all begin to drive like its raining and like they are making lifes decisions and sight seeing on a Sunday. Literally, there are just as many accidents when the sun comes out as when it rains, what is that about. Bottom line is, if you have to go here heading from anywhere in South king county, leave 2-3 hours ahead of time or you may find yourself upset that you dont make it on time and the amount of traffic. aside from that, this place is pretty big but doesnt look like it from the outside. the seating is very steep in some...
