My husband and I are fortunate to be regulars at Luca, since the week they opened their doors. And each visit reminds us why this restaurant is one of the rare gems in the local area. Luca is not simply a place to eat — it is a complete experience of authentic Italian hospitality, rooted in tradition and carried out with passion. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name.
From the moment we step through the door, we are greeted with warmth. Bepi, the gracious host and owner, has a gift for making his guests feel as if they’ve arrived in his own home. His attention to detail, his effortlessly unstuffy demeanor, and his clear pride in his restaurant create an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. It’s an embrace of Italy right here in Everett.
Eric, whose name comes up often in conversations about Luca, deserves every bit of recognition. He is not only a server but a consummate professional with the charm and intuition of a maître d’ in a Michelin-starred dining room. He balances attentiveness with ease, ensuring that every glass is filled and every question answered, while never intruding on the intimacy of the evening. His knowledge of the extensive list of fine Italian wine and his ability to craft a cocktail that perfectly complements the meal are outstanding. Eric has made every one of our visits memorable, and it is no surprise to us that other diners mention him so frequently in their reviews. It's always perfection in his section.
The heart of Luca, however, beats strongest in its kitchen. Chef Vic’s food is a masterclass in authentic Italian cuisine. Each plate that emerges is a work of care and craft. Pastas with the right bite and texture (Al dente, as they should) sauces layered with depth and subtlety, meats and seafood cooked with precision. Whether it is the richness of the carbonara, the robust depth of the wild boar ragù, or it being the only place I can find nearby that serves a proper cannoli, every dish carries the hallmarks of a chef who respects both his ingredients and his guests. The plethora of specials each visit keep the menu fresh and highlight that they are constantly curating locally sourced and fine imported ingredients. When you see words like guanciale and San Marzano, you know you're getting the good stuff done the proper way as they would in Italy.
What sets Luca apart is the harmony of these elements. The hospitality of Bepi, the finesse and professionalism of Eric, and the artistry of Chef Vic create an experience that transcends the ordinary. Dining here is not transactional — it is celebratory, restorative, and memorable. Each evening feels like the kind of meal you will recall for days, the sort of experience that compels you to become a regular.
If you have yet to visit, be prepared to discover not just exceptional food, but learn the Italian way of dinning which is to relax, take it slow, and enjoy your food. For us, Luca is more than a restaurant; it is part of our lives, a place where we celebrate milestones, impress visiting friends and family, and savor the everyday joys of life. Grazie to the Luca team!
For those who rate Luca anything less, might I suggest a frozen Marie Callender lasagna? There's also an Olive Garden in Everett. That may be more appealing to...
Read moreSecond visit to Luca's. First visit was perfect! The food outstanding, service impeccable and our group of 5 had a great time that evening. We liked it so much we returned the next week with a few other friends so they could enjoy this new find of ours.
I understand it was New Years Eve but the service was way below par. Our waitress had a hard time understanding our questions. For example, I asked the price of the three specials and she just described them to us again. I had to ask three times to get the prices of the specials.
We asked if the bill could be split three ways and she said no, they are not able to do that with their computers??? Not sure I believe that answer.
The wood fire pizza is outstanding (takes up 1/4 of the menu) but when one of our party ordered it the waitress went to the chef and came back and said no pizza tonight on New Years Eve. Again, understand concessions need to be made for holiday but either tell us when we made our reservations or somehow inform guests before they study the menu then order.
Last issue, the bread. On our first visit, the waiter brought out two baskets of yummy bread. On our second visit the same thing, HOWEVER, they charged us for the bread this time. We did ask for a third basket so I would have understood paying for the one we ASKED for, but not for the one the waitress voluntarily put on our table.
I am very disappointed with our visit that night and how much I hyped up this restaurant to our friends. I kept telling them this was not our experience on our first visit.
Will we be back?? Not sure but if we do, I will make sure we get the waiter we had on our first visit.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant for our one year wedding anniversary and 9th year anniversary dinner last night and we really liked it. It reminded me of the food I ate in Rome which was fantastic. Our server was really nice and always checking on us and reassuring that food will come out soon.
Service: So before people go in and complain about the service, you need to understand that there were only two people serving, and I think the owner was doing both server and bartending tasks, but they were very polite and they worked very efficiently together. Our server has memorized all of the orders without any pens or tablets, and we ordered a good amount of food for just the two of us. And when she handed us the check, she was being super sweet and asked if we had any complaints please let her know, which of course we didn't. We were happy with her service.
Food: everything tasted great and authentic. We had order the Luca pizza which has sausage and mushrooms and linguini di mare (seafood linguini) to start. They also bring you bread ($4) in the beginning before you order. I loved the pasta to seafood ratio, and the sauce was my favorite. I was dipping bread in the leftover sauce while waiting for our next entrees. For protein dishes we got the filet mignon and veal, which both were cooked to perfection and husband and I loved the sauce on the veal. But filet mignon sauce, next time we will most likely ask if they can keep it on the side so we can adjust how much sauce we want on the meat. It's just a preference, I like tasting the meat more than the sauce. And finally we finished with a cappuccino flavored cheesecake and tiramisu, OMG these desserts were amazing! Husband and I couldn't eat tiramisu for a while because we had some of the best in Rome back in May so we were thankful that this restaurant did not disappoint. We look forward to going back to try their cannoli and panna cotta next time.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Good food, good service,...
