‘That disappointment’. Overall this place was a three, carried by its design, marketing, and slightly above average food. Customer service was terrible, Alfonso, or the gentlemen upfront didn’t look like he loved or even wanted to be there anymore. For example when asking about the menu he simply pointed at it without explaining anything only to notice I asked what he recommended and not just the menu. He also short me at first with my cash but fixed It and kept the change. Maybe I caught the guy on a bad day or something, vibe definitely wasn’t it, but luckily I came for the food. Pricing of the food when it came down to it was 15.00 for the chicken and fries, 15.00 for the burger and fries, 12.00 for the alcoholic drink, and 4-6.00ea for a Medio Litro and Vitamin Water drink, as I wasn’t offered my receipt, which has happened at other places and I’m not sure if it’s just a thing not to give receipts automatically anymore but I didn’t mention anything. The design was appealing and even welcoming, somewhere i’d consider seating in. When asking about the individual items come to find out all the sauces on the wings aren’t available for chicken tenders as a dip, only ranch and bleu cheese which I found odd, no? Gentlemen also made a comment about the price like we’re about to find out why, which is the only time I saw anything of a positive expression from him, it did make me curious though, eager to try it even. Now this is the only time I’ve ever done a review, I’ve felt many places deserve a good one but with all the factors in my experience here I planned to keep it that way if the food was worth every cent. Nicely seasoned, maybe, maybe just a bit too salty for me, crispy chicken, a little rubbery like maybe this chicken was frozen or kept just frozen enough to be slapped in the fryer and cooked within the 5-10 minute wait, soft fries but small portions. The alcoholic drink was absolutely not worth it, half filled with ice and tasted like it was possibly watered down, not even enough alcohol to make me instantly be like yea that’s alcohol, not that there might be something wrong with it lol. The chicken burger was the Nashville which was supposed to be hot but was relatively similar to regular homemade chili. Overall it wasn’t terrible, I might come back here if someone I know was interested in it, personally not by myself but i’d also have to be in a good mood and prepared to have the same experience. Out the door it was 55.00 ish and 43.00 ish without the alcoholic drink. Great concept, great marketing, room for...
Read moreI’m a chicken lover…I cook something “chicken” of somekind at home most every night…
I usually don’t eat/order chicken “out” because it’s most often a big disappointment…
Was unexpectedly in Everett, saw the name on the building, I love chicken, so , I gave it a try…
Though the people running it seem nice enough, in asking about the menu, there wasn’t much interaction…just took a guess on what I should order…
Got some wings…they aren’t really “a wing”, they are the halves of the wings…
$20 for 10 wings…but, like I said, they are half of a wing, so it’s more like getting 5 wings, for the $20
The food was pretty damn good, but me being pretty frugal (these days), the price was a bit painful…
I was the only customer in the building, and the adjacent buildings weren’t open, (and there was no event at the arena across the street) but the parking spots on the street in front of the restaurant were taken…I can only assume they take the convenient parking spots for their staff/owners…
After placing my order, I went to be seated, and it seems the family/staff were comfortable sitting in the first/main booth (best garage point for watching their TVs on the wall)…
As I sat in a booth towards the front window, I waited for the food to be prepared…
There was 1 football game on two of their TVs (same game, no sound), and some SYFY movie on the third TV (also no sound) showing some ancient/fantasy war, with people stabbing/chopping/fighting in a gory bloody depiction (showing blood flowing, blood flying through the air, bloody chopped off body parts/limbs…
There was soft rock playing out-loud on the sound system, but there was also loud Hispanic music also playing from the kitchen…tough on the brain to hear the clash
The staff stood around mostly watching/playing on their cell phones
About a month later (this evening), I again found myself in Everett (unscheduled), and thought I’d give it one more try…
The parking spots in front were again taken…
Walked in…again, I was the only customer…
Staff were standing around with their heads down buried in their cell phones…
First booth again, had a family member, sitting in it (they were playing on their cell phone)…
Ordered wings again (tried a different dipping sauce from my last visit)…they were good…but again, it was painful paying $20 for five wings (called a 10 piece)…
Again, the popular classic pop/rock played out loud, but also again, so did the Hispanic music from the kitchen.
Doesn’t seem much like a plan for success to me?!? …I...
Read moreStarting off walking in I was immediately greeted. The staff and owner were very friendly. I ordered the full size Nashville Fire Chicken Burger with fries and a side of ranch. My quoted wait time was a little off but that is fine, I would much rather wait a few extra minutes than have my order rushed. My order was to go and so what I will say about the food may vary from eating in, but for packing food to go I hope this critique is taken into account.
My order came 2 containers, the chicken sandwich in a large box for itself and the fries separate in a soup container with a plastic lid. The branding on both containers and the plastic bag was a nice touch I don't see often. Unfortunately my ranch did not come in the order.
When I got home I started with the fries, and this is where my biggest critique comes in. Being placed in their own sealed container right after they were made caused them to become completely soggy. There was room in the box and having them together would have allowed them to breathe and would have been much more enjoyable. The flavor on them was alright but once again they were completely soggy. I would love to try them fresh.
On to the chicken sandwich. This thing was massive, I was very excited to see that. Unfortunately like other large fried chicken sandwiches, there was a good portion of it that didn't have any chicken in it. So a third of it was just Mayo, sauce a few pickles and jalapenos(which I added). The chicken however was delicious and the Nashville Fire sauce was thick and flavorful and carried a great amount of heat. I think I would have liked a little cabbage to level everything out but over all it is a great chicken sandwich.
My experience was for the most part great and I will definitely return to try other things off of the menu. I do hope you put some consideration into packing your fries and tater tots differently. Thank...
