We used to really like habitat but, unfortunately I was informed by a couple different people that volunteered at this store and quit that they witnessed on several occasions the store manager (kelli) i believe as well as others working there, setting aside donations of value instead of selling them to customers and would just take stuff home at closing time. Apparently, the manager would put some change into the donation funds and make a receipt for otherwise expensive items and claim these things were "paid for"! I'd strongly recommend donating to a more legitimate non-profit if you truly want to help...

They have sometimes luxury items that son of us couldn't afford otherwise, and odds and ends that are almost a steal.
