Okay, I'm not generally a critical person, but this was bad. On Valentines day my wife and I had chiseled out a precious window of 90 minutes with no children. I was trying to use that time efficiently. So I called the restaurant an hour and a half before and placed our order, letting them know exactly when I would be there to pick up the food. I arrived three minutes early and asked to pick up my order. I assume that it was at this point that they began cooking our food, because I sat there for twenty minutes waiting for it. The point of calling ahead, obviously, was for the food to be ready when I arrived. I could have forgiven that. If the meal was good, I could have lived with lost time. But it was truly, TRULY bad food. We had the #5 family meal. The starter, Char Siu, was completely flavorless. I've had Char Siu both when I lived in Hong Kong and many times since I returned to the United States. This wasn't even good compared to American made Char Siu. The meat was simply too lean- if you're using fat soluable flavors you need some fat to carry those flavors. The shrimp rolls were pretty forgetable. You could tell that there was shrimp inside because they were a little over-cooked and chewy, but you wouldnt have been able to tell what was in that deep fried wrapper based on flavor alone. The whole taste was just really one note, and that note wasn't shrimp. It wasn't on the menu, but we somehow ended up with what I assume was egg drop soup. Tragically under seasoned. Also, the soup had what seemed like a whole lot of (previously) dehydrated onion, the texture of which gave a sensation of having a fly in your soup with every bite. Through with the appetizers, we moved on to the main course. I will admit that the broccoli beef was passable. The sauce was tasty, the beef was not over cooked, and the broccoli was almost not over cooked. The sweet and sour pork had a similar issue. The sauce was okay (a little too thick and a little sweeter than my personal preference, but that's just my preference); but the pork was really dry and tough. It was clearly in the fryer too long. The Chicken Lo Men was the real low point of the meal. The noodles, the chicken, the sauce: all utterly devoid of flavor. This wasn't lack of seasoning. I suspect that I could have added salt and all I would have tasted was salt. There was truly not even a hint to point at what that dish was supposed to taste like. The only food that lived up to my expectations was the fortune...
Read more2025 So very glad I moved back to Everett within just blocks of this fabulous place. This is the most amazing restaurant!! I got the honey walnut chicken today and there was just a mound of food and a great amount of rice and the manager was so gracious. The food was hot. Fresh crispy not soggy crunchy flavorful sweet sesame seed beautifully seasoned a great portion of Mount and a remarkable price. This is a destination restaurant in disguise
2024 Well thankfully they have done an amazing turnaround here. the flavor profile on the wonton soup is superb with nuances with pork and egg in a wonderful broth with wontons and green onions. smells great, taste better.
Attentive service, serving lots of delicious hot tea on a cold day.
Shrimp roll hot and crispy. Almond chicken battered in bite size pieces. Mongolian beef tender and tasty. Fried rice dry and slightly crunchy. I liked it. Next time I want to try the egg foo Yung and mu shu pork.
2024 I see that they're still plenty of cars in the parking lot so I should try coming again and seeing how they have improved. Hopefully they are back to their traditional standard of excellence.
2022 Stopped coming here after COVID because the last couple of times the dishes were heavy on onions and not enough on the other ingredients. Also, they seemed short staffed.
2020 So glad we have reason to come to this part of town. Excellent food, easy parking. Close to WSU campus on Broadway. We always order family dinner. Husband prefers how they make Honey walnut with chicken instead of prawns. But I like the prawns and snow peas in delicate sauce. The BBQ pork was delicious, clean fresh and tender. The crab wontons are so superior. So thin, crisp and creamy inside. AMAZING!!! Got to try this hidden gem. Husband prefers their hotnsour soup, flavorful but not overpowering. I like the wonton soup. It is really packed an filling. You will enjoy the leftover chow mein and...
Read moreOh my. Um I hate to say anything bad about a restaurant. But I'm going to have to run this one the owners very nice very sweet the owner. But I got sweet and sour pork. Never in my life have I had anything that tasted like this. It tasted like they took a entire container of confectioners sugar and added it to the sweet and sour sauce it was like eating cake frosting. I didn't even eat mine neither of us did. The soup was great , fried rice was good. My egg fo young was a bit strange. I'm guessing they're just from a different region and make her differently. It was probably about 7:00 wasn't a whole lot of people one other table full of people in there. Did Kelly got a lot of phone calls for takeout food so I would try it yourself but I don't recommend this particular Chinese restaurant. There is one in Marysville under the same name just Noble Palace and they used to have really good food I'm not sure about now and I don't know if they're connected. But I really don't recommend eating here but that could just be my opinion but again I've never in my life tasted things of this nature. I only ate the rice and the soup the rest of my meal was...
