It wasn't quite as bad as the stars seem to indicate but there are so many areas of opportunity and nothing stood out. There are hardly any NON-SEAFOOD OPTIONS! We got some complimentary ceviche but wasn't told what it was. I believe it was shrimp but this is a huge allergy concern. Our group of 4 ordered the Tilapia, Shrimp and mushroom dish, 3 fish tacos, and a plain cheese quesadilla and a side of rice and beans for the food and then 3 margaritas and a michelada. We had to ask for waters from a waitress who was rarely around but when she was seemed flustered and rushing from table to table. Meanwhile there were 3 bartenders standing behind the bar mostly doing nothing. The servers were only women, and the bartenders were only men(interesting). Margaritas were very sweet and we all couldn't taste or feel any of the alcohol. We were given the large size without being asked what size we wanted. At 11.50/each we will never order them again. The michelada was great and even free because of happy hour and the fact he ordered the talapia(not stated anywhere that we knew) but happy it was free! The food came out sporadically over an 8 minute span where the fried fish tacos got soggy and cold before our last meal came out. The waitress came by three times during this a rushingly said she was sorry each time without really looking at us.The side of rice and beans were cold. We did not enjoy them at all, rice was not the traditional mexican style and the beans were runny at tasteless which unfortunately is the normal mexican style. The shrimp and mushroom dish was soupy which could be how it comes but when you have a cold salad on the same plate, it ruins the salad. This fish taco was pretty good and would have been better if warm. The talapia looked very impressive and tasted good according to it's eater. The kids quesadilla had plenty of cheese but the tortilla had the consistency of it being microwaved or steamed.
TLDR: No food stood out, service poor, kitchen slow, waiting for their first allergic reaction and $140 bucks.
We will be back in a few months to share one of the non seafood items, either the carne asada or the fajitas. Hope it'll have been figured out and we can...
Read moreWords cannot express how truly terrible this entire experience was. Inedible and rancid tasting food, slow and inattentive service, and violently loud karaoke, all combined in the worst restaurant meal imaginable. At one point (when they moved the karaoke speakers directly next to our table and the staff person started his one-man show singing OVER the other music blasting through the restaurant), we honestly thought we were on a hidden prank show.
Food: We started with the ceviche, which was room temperature and the shrimp was gray. The shrimp empanadas were doughy and tasted like oil. The refried beans were...I can't even identify what was wrong with them because they didn't taste like food. Fish tacos were also fried in the same rancid oil and inedible. The molcajete was basically tomato soup with overcooked and rubbery fish and shrimp. The marispina rellena was some kind of cheese soup (we think?). The seafood was so overcooked, we thought it was chicken. $128 and none of us took more than a few bites.
After we paid (because we didn't want to be jerks), I told our waitress that we thought some of the food was spoiled. She said thanks and walked away, so clearly not concerned or surprised.
Also, randomly there was a dog in a sweater wandering around? It was cute...
Read moreWow, what to say? Tried this place out with my family. We ordered five dishes, they made four of the five dishes, and when they served them, that's when they decided to tell me that they didn't have my dish and I'd have to order something else, but the server didn't wait for me to order and just walked away. The next server that came, I put in an order for food.4 different servers came every 6 minutes to ask if everything was fine. They could see everyone eating, but me, my wife asked if my food was coming, and the server replied, "Box?" She went and got a box and held it in front of my wife's face while she was trying to load up a fajita bite. Everyone had finished eating by this point, and the server that took my order came by to ask if everything was fine. Clearly, everything is not fine, I asked, "Where is my food?" She asks who took my order? So yeah, I never did get any food that day. Fajitas beef pretty low quality, chicken way over cooked, the shrimp fine. Spent $130 for 4 meals and 6 drinks totally...
