Fair Lawn Community Center — Attraction in Fair Lawn

I went here as a child with my grandparents, and loved it. There's an arcade on the second floor and basketball, track for running, ping pong (on certain days), and other sport events. However, when I arrived today, there was an elderly man that works there who was extremely rude when I asked to go to the center. I am a resident of Fair Lawn. I have lived in this town for 4 years. The man berated me by asking if I was a resident of fair lawn, 5 times, and when I attempted to show him my drivers license, which clearly shows my fair lawn address. He exclaims, "That's useless!!! you need a card!! individually," as he glares at me, my brother, and my father at the center. He did not explain the rules properly and it was difficult to understand. He was extremely rude. He then says, it will take 15-20 minutes EACH person to obtain this card, so in order to attend we will have to wait for an hour. This is not the DMV. This is a public building funded by the town. I think it is really disgusting to be so rude and have a power trip. Verify my identify and move on. I don't mind the long wait time, but being interrogated about whether I live there after I already have answered the question is extremely rude and unnecessary. Another super awesome place for kids and adults to frequent. I wish this place was here when I first moved here in 1987. Anyhow my childhood was great. But this Recreational facility makes Fair Lawn greater than it already is. Because if you are a resident it is free. It's fun they have a little arcade, and a mini gym. An indoor track so your not freezing your butt off in the winter. I give this place 10 stars. It's in a safe location and open every day. They do have their hours of operation on the front door. Adjacent to the building next door which is one place just divided is the Fair Lawn Theater which is a super prize in my opinion, the tickets are reasonable and the plays are great. It's fun for the whole family, and a must if you like entertainment...

WORST PLACE TO DO EVENTS HERE! I WISH THERE WAS A 0 STAR ICON HERE I WOULD HAVE SELETED THAT! I was there with my Photobooth and the building has 2 Public wifi which was as slow as a turtle! There was one wifi which was the building staff wifi and staff members were not providing me with the password because they said it’s confidential! Do be honest I have done events in Passaic County as well as Hudson Country almost 80 to 90% POLICE and Fire department events in THEIR GOVERNMENT BUILDING WITH THEIR BUILDING WIFI so I don’t understand what confidential info were the StAFF memebers talking about!
