I came into the salon for a consultation on having my hair color changed. I wanted to have a darker shadow root and gray ends. Everything seemed good and set up the appointment for that weekend. I came in around opening and spent about 4 hours there getting my hair done. When I finally got to see the finished product it wasn't really like any of the photos I had shown. I know that to start out with I had some my hair colored, but I did think what I had asked for was achievable. My hair looked like it was still very close to my original color with some "hints" of gray or maybe just light blonde.
Since I'm pretty awful at confrontation and generally look for the positives, I thought maybe I just have to sleep on it. About two days later I washed it and blew it out myself, and it was just a mess. Highlights were weird and just sporadic throughout my hair, with a lot of it just being really brassy, and with lots of banding throughout. I reached out to my stylist Peri and asked what could be done about my hair, and letting her know all my concerns. She told me that she would be happy to help me with a redo at no cost to myself.
So I set up the appointment and headed in on the Sunday of the following week. I am not sure what the correct process is supposed to be when it comes to lightening hair, so I deferred to my stylist's chosen methods.
After a second round of bleaching, my hair was basically looking exactly the same in tone, but now with extreme damage. After sitting with the owner, who offered to blow out my hair and help finish adding the "color" to my hair we were all done. When I headed out to leave, I was informed that I owed an additional amount on what I was told would be redone at no charge! In the moment, I was so shocked I didn't know what to say, I followed up about 10 minutes later that this was supposed to be a free re-do. To which she let me know they don't do that. (Then WHY was I told that it would be handled like that?)
My hair now has three colors throughout, with the added fun of random dark spots or striping throughout all of the hair. The ends are extremely fried, and I am guessing my best bet will be to cut off all my hair. It was really hard for me to write a negative review, but honestly, I paid 350+ all in to have professionals fry my hair off and I would hate for this to happen to...
Read moreI thought I found my new spot, but unfortunately not. I got a shag cut that was styled with a curling iron, and once I washed my hair at home I realized how terribly uneven my hair was. One side was clearly more dense and longer than the other. Iâve never had this happen at any other hair salon in all my years of getting shag/layered cuts.
When I called the salon, I politely explained the issue to the receptionist. I was asked to come in to get it fixed by the same stylist. (I noticed she is mentioned in another review.) I had no problem doing this because no one is perfect, and I donât have a problem giving someone a second chance.
When I showed up, the receptionists kept calling it a âbang trimâ and the stylist seemed to have no idea I was there to fix her mess. The whole experience made me so uncomfortable because I had to keep explaining myself. Even after pointing out all the uneven areas, I was shocked that the stylist couldnât see what was wrong. At one point when she could tell I was getting frustrated since the adjustments were still terribly uneven, she says, âIâm just trying to understand what youâre seeing.â Hello? Just look at it! She also blamed my hair for being naturally thicker on one side which is a bit ridiculous.
After the ordeal was over and she was able to get it fairly even, I received no apology and she shuffled off to work on another client. As I was leaving, the receptionist tried to get me to pay and AGAIN I had to explain I was there to fix mistakes the stylist made.
Maybe some stylists there are more skilled than others, but I would never go back or recommend this salon. Plenty of other salons in the area with better communication and...
Read moreReplacing my old hairstylist, who moved to the other coast, has been much harder than I ever imagined. I've tried a few stylists, but none of them were up to par. A few months ago, I went to someone who completely butchered my hairâuneven, nothing like I requested in both cut and color. I was almost ready to give up, but decided to give it one more shot. I'm so glad I did! Perri was recommended to me, and she did not disappoint. She is amazing and truly knows her craft. My situation was a bit unique because I wasnât going in with a specific goal; I just needed a fix. We didn't know what the solution would be until we tried it. Perri was honest with me, walking me through the process of correcting my hair while offering potential outcomes during our free consultation. She took her time, worked patiently through many hours on my hair, and brought such a positive attitude and personality to the experience. And the result? My hair turned out AMAZING! I left the salon with complete confidence, and I will definitely be returning. Taylor was also wonderfulâshe greeted me with a warm and professional manner from the moment I walked in. She assisted Perri throughout the entire long process, ensuring I was comfortable the whole time. The salon itself is beautiful, and these two made the atmosphere even better with their professionalism and great personalities. I highly recommend giving this salon a try. From cut to color, Perri is the...
