Java Nut Inc. — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

Not to brag, but I do consider myself a bagel expert coming from Montreal where they are literally world famous for their bagels and few other things food related. I've been in the United States for about a decade and can confidently say that JAVA NUT makes THE BEST bagels I've EVER had on this side of the border. They made it perfect and we're generous with their spreads and such and at a VERY reasonable price. We went on opening day where in most restaurants it would have been chaos but they fulfilled our order quickly, with a smile and also with that good old fashioned friendly customer service that most places these days lack. We will definitely be going again and soon! I'm curious if they do catering for Jewish family events and such since there aren't any other Cholov Yisrael bagel shops in Fair Lawn and this was the one thing this beautiful neighborhood...

I stopped by Java Nut to grab a sweet potato feta salad and was told it would take a few minutes since their mashgiach had just arrived and was washing the lettuce. I appreciated the transparency and had no issue waiting, so I paid. However, after checking the train schedule and realizing my train was coming earlier than expected, I had to leave in a hurry. They kindly offered a refund, but since they’d already started making the salad and it was my fault, I didn’t feel right taking it.

A minute after I drove off, the owner, Rochi, called and asked where I was heading. She ran out and hand-delivered the salad to me in the rain at my train station! Incredible customer service and truly above and beyond. Can’t recommend...

Java Nut catered my daughter’s birthday party. The food included bagels, a spread of various toppings including egg salad, tuna salad, regular cream cheese and vegetable cream cheese as well as a vegetable platter. The food was fresh. The bagels were hot when delivered and the egg and tuna salad were made very tastefully. They weren’t filled with mayonnaise and the tuna was not fishy.
