The food was great but the service did not stand up to the expectations. We reserved a private room for the event. Initially when talking to one of the girls we had initially agreed the room was available for 3 hours and there was no cover charge or minimum charge per person. I had called after 1 week to discuss the details and the manager or the owner had informed me that we can only have the room for 2 hours, which was very disappointing but we agreed. On the day of the event we had a beautiful party and great food. When they presented us with the bill the gratuity charge of 20% was already calculated into the total and we gave 20 dollars on top of it but this is when the course of event took the wrong turn. Because we tried to stay within 2 hours, 15 minutes prior to the time limit we had asked the staff to cut the cake. It took them a while to do it and we had to ask them 3 times before they finally did it. We were already 2 hours over but since they were not rushing us and they are the ones who did not cater on time we did not feel rushed. The other room of the restaurant was not that busy either. When we finished our tea/coffee and dessert and started cleaning up a few of our decorative balloons popped and the waitress ran in with a very unpleasant demand to stop popping the balloons. We told her we didn't do it intentionally and were asked to take the decorations outside and finish cleaning up outside and popping the balloons there. It was 50 degrees outside and pouring. We told her we don't mind putting all the remaining decorations and balloons in the bag so they can go into the garbage, which she refused to take and told us to take all our garbage with us. Her reply was, " We are providing a room for you, we did a favor for you by giving you a room for 2 hours and 1 hour xtra, not charging you 2K for it. We had moved the next party an hour later so we can give you more time, which we didn't ask ( they are the ones who took too long to cut the cake) and you gotta take your garbage with you. We had 13 people in the party and ordered food for the table and gave a pretty generous tip and that's the kind of treatment we got. Being locals and ordering a lot from their restaurant it's kind of a disappointment to find out that they have such poor customer service. In my opinion having 13 people in the matter of 2 hours during the pandemic course of events is not a bad business but sometimes greed takes over. The waitress needs to be trained properly of how to talk to people and sometimes to bite her tongue. She was really aggressive at the end and bad reflection for...
Read moreAda Brasserie just became my favorite Turkish restaurant in the state of NJ! To cover the interior quickly, it is nice and ambient. Spacing is used well, and clean with an elegant yet homely feel. Our server Sue was the sweetest waitress. Every staff member looked sharp and gave us the impression the upcoming meal will be a special one.
FOOD!!! Okay, the flavors of this place woke me up. From appetizers to entrees to dessert. When I say the taste jumps out at you, I'll describe. Dine in and eat it freshly cooked!
Avaganoush (baba ganoush and avocado) was decadent and greatly smooth textured for spreading on pita.
The Lentil soup was spiced, lemony, and smokey tasting. They served at a temperature perfect for sipping on, not too piping hot.
Octopus was perfectly seared and fresh. Textured chew on point. Grilled asparagus crunch and mashed potato softness adds to the character of the octopus.
Falafel has the perfect bite. It was not overly salty either. Pair this with some avaganoush for another layer of flavor finish!
Lamb shish had the perfect seared outer with a nice medium cooked juicy middle. It was a nice big cubed chunks on a metal skewer.
Lamb Adana was the saltier dish out, but it is a welcomed salt profile. The yogurt and thin shredded potatoes paired well. In between bites with the tomato sauce at the bottom of the dish left me wanting another mouthful.
Save your appetite for dessert. Poached pear with ice cream, can't beat the sweet syrupy pear taste with vanilla. Sponge cake. My goodness, it had the welcomed texture of tres leches, but not as wet. Baklava is an added bonus as a taste and texture difference to the rest of the dessert. The small cuts of fig and berries is a nod to detail attention.
Truly, their craft is the mastery of texture and seasoning. Consistency in each dish served a feel of quality and their unique touch to...

The food is outstanding. My personal favorites are the baba ganoush, the Adana special, and the lamb kofte. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Their Turkish coffee is excellent, and the desserts are just as memorable, which are a perfect way to end the meal.
