The Fairhope Pier — Attraction in Fairhope

This is my favorite place to fish. speckled trout white trout it is a very nice Pier for the family have never had any problems I have been fishing here for years I would recommend bringing the family. Update if you fish using the lights under the pier for some reason it's a problem with the lights being on at night the last time I went fishing the only lights that were on were the ones at the end of the pier. The problem with the lights has been going on for about a year and a half. Update August 1st still no lights Under the Pier so if you're planning on fishing using the light Under the Pier don't waste your time. I wonder what the problem is with the Lights Under the Pier 🤔 update talk to someone that has information about the pier they told me that they are looking to totally redesigned the light could not give me a time when they'll be done so I don't think the lights will be there this year 2018 hopefully 2019 they will be installed the person I talk to is someone in charge of the pier. 🤔 Has dropped to a 2-star because...

This is a terrible place, bad fishing, terrible people, don't come. Yeah, not really. I have to admint it's a fun place. But it can get pretty crowded on the holidays. But during the week there's rarely more than 4 or 5 people fishing on any night.

This is really a great place to fish. It is really shallow and you have to be here at the right time of year, summer being the best. You will always do better making the trip to down to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach in regards to what you can catch.

My only complaint is that people come from all over and trash the place. People need to respect other peoples property when they let you use it for free, and clean up after your self. If people keep trashing it, I suspect over time they will stop letting people fish here or they will start charging like the do at the park and/or close it at night. I can't blame...

The amount of times we have been to this municipal park and pier area in the past couple of weeks! It is an extremely nice place to fish, to hangout, they have a restaurant, the bathroom is really nice and fully equipped with 7 rolls of toilet paper rolls lmao . But we have caught a Bull shark, string ray, croaker, white trout, hardhead cat fish so far. And others redfish drum sail catfish fish, we saw someone yesterday catch a 3 foot black tip shark too! So all around it is just a very nice clean place! They also have their own cutting boards with water hoses on some of them! Enough trash cans so no excuses to litter! We get about 5000 steps just walking to and from lol so a nice place to excerise too! There's a each area, and playground, a place to do music bands,weddings, etc it's really the whole package! I recommend getting hooked coming to this...
