My boyfriend and I had gone out and showed up at Al Macās today for breakfast at around 12:30. We walked in and was told that there was a 10-15 minute wait. So we waited outside. After 20 minutes were up we went back in hoping that we were going to be seated. We watched as tables left and waited for the busser to clean the tables. Watching this busser clean the tables actually caused me to be angry because of how slow she was doing it. 10 minutes had gone by and she had only cleaned 1 of the 5 booths. Eventually a waitress came up to everyone (a party of 5, my party of 2 and a party of 3) standing at the door and asked if we were all waiting to be sat. Duh! She didnāt even bother to lead us to our tables she just said booth in the back left and on of the booths on the right. We sat down, no silverware on the table and waited for the waitress to ask us for our drinks. The waitress ran over and literally threw the menus at us and in the process of throwing the menus, asked us for our drink orders. It took her so long for us to get our drinks. We placed our order after another long period of time and waited for our breakfast. Let me stress it more, BREAKFAST. There were tables that came in after us that ordered lunch and were served before us. Last time I checked, eggs and toast were one of the quickest things to make. Our food came out and it was delicious, but I had to steal silverware off of an empty table for us to eat our meal. The party of 5 that sat close to us were served there food with no silverware. Iām not quite sure how a waitress wouldnāt notice that all of her tables had no silverware but thatās beyond me I guess. After all of this I finally paid the check and left. I sat for a while contemplating before paying the bill whether I should even tip at all since the service was that horrible but I ended up tipping 15% since I have common decency. The whole time I was there, a manager sat at the breakfast bar along with another waitress. The busser was new and didnāt know what she was doing and our waitress, Sarah, was awful. It took from 12-30 to a little before 3:00 for me to get the worst experience eating out that I have ever had in my life. This place...

The food is much better, with a bit of a gourmet flair. The salads are fresh and quite good. I've only had two lunch items. The first item I had was an open faced Thanksgiving sandwich. It was cleverly prepared, with the dressing being deep fried in the shape of tater tots. I didn't find it to be to my liking, but I appreciate the thought and effort that was put into this dish. In the end, it comes down to a matter of taste, and I could see how this dish would be very tasty to others.
The other lunch item that I had was the turkey club. It came on two slices of bread instead of the customary three slices. This seemed to be a minus for my lunch partner, but it was fine by me. In fact the bread is sliced much thicker than ordinary sliced bread so there is probably just as much bread in the sandwich as there is with the typical three sliced club. The sandwich itself was very good. The amount of bacon was generous and exceptional. The only thing preventing me from rating this as gourmet is the sliced turkey itself. I can best describe it as ROM. If they can find a way to upgrade the turkey itself without increasing the price too much, then i wouldn't hesitate to rate this as one of the best turkey clubs that I've had.
The one breakfast that I had was outstanding! I had the corned beef hash and eggs. Not much one can say about eggs of course other than they were cooked exactly to order. The hash on the other hand was superb! It was made onsight from brisket and if you like corned beef hash, I strongley recomend that you give this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEverything but the food was terrible.. Never again will I come to Al Mac's Diner! I wouldn't even call that service. I'm horrified. Never mind having to ask for milk for my tea 3 times. Tea was cold after more then 30 mins of waiting.. We waited for breakfast food for over a hour. When I asked how much longer the waitress (Sue) was very rude. Taking to me loudly as she was walking away and the entire place was listing and staring as she was rude and yelling telling me I need to realize how everything is fresh and there are 72 ppl ahead of me as soon as I walk in here. So maybe if they had a better understanding of running a restuarant businesses it wouldn'tbe so terrible. There is something called a wait and should be implemented as needed. I only got some of my meal. At least 5 ppl walked out in the time we was there. Our waitress (Sue) was terrible. I've never seen a more unprofessional waitress. When I reminded her I only got part my meal she sighed and was obviously annoyed with me. I told her if it was so busy and they couldn't keep up with food and service they should consider a wait to catch up. She started to say she just needs to work on getting staff to work there then as she is walking away, AGAIN as she was talking and said "o forget". You know what lady, that is right forget us and those walk outs coming back. So maybe listen to suggestions. Just give me the bill so we can leave after 1.5 hours of trying to get breakfast. And I didnt even get my whole meal that I paid for. How can she be annoyed with us? It would have went a long way if she would have been decent to us. It wasn't the wait that made our experience terrible,...
