i was very displeased at the customer service specifically Richard and his supervisor at around 4:30pm my time in Colorado/6:30pm Massachusetts time. I had placed a western union at King Soopers a grocery store here in Colorado at noon. My daughter-in-law and son went up to pickup the Western Union and were told that the id was expired.
This being stated when I personally called from Colorado to the Stop and Shop in Massachussetts and spoke with Richard he did not try to seem what happened or to take accountability of what happened he just said the id was expired. Not checking to see if the number was entered wrong or anything he just clearly stated "it was expired". I asked to speak to his supervisor who got on the line and couldn't distinguish if the pasport was expired, when they had just. picked up money a couple days prior from the same location, or if it was the actual western union code that was expired. My question to the lady who was the supervisor, sorry didnt get her name, was the passport was expired? I proceeded to tell her that it couldnt have been expired as they just flew there a week ago.
The supervisor didnt want to hear it or try to check back over her employees mistake but kept reitteratting misinformation. I had Western Union on the line at the Western Union in Colorado which stated that clearly the code was not expired obviously. I will say this, in these times all it takes is a couple of extra "customer service" steps to make sure that there is no review like this. Unbeknownst to them in Massachussetts Stop and Shop specifically Richard and his supervisor is that my son and daughter in law are stuck in Massachusetts due to not being able to fly back to Colorado and needed this money in a timely manner with no issues as they have a 1 and...
Read more5 stars for the online order pickup. First time user, downloaded the App and made an account. Had special offers available online and coupons which I wouldn’t normally take advantage of. Selected all the items needed with minimal options excluded. Placed and paid for the order on the App in the comfort of my own home. Decided to do pickup as the location isn’t far, and the fee ($3) was less then delivery ($10) and the delivery hours weren’t ideal for me. Checked on the order early in the day to make sure everything was correct, order was ready hours before my preferred pickup time and if available I could’ve picked up earlier. It was as easy as driving into the pickup parking lot spot and calling in to let them know I was there. A nice women came out with paper recyclable bags, and a medical mask for safety. I popped my trunk and she loaded my order. With a brief thank you and smile between masks and cracked window, the service was exactly what I needed during this crazy time. I felt safe getting groceries with my newborn and was able to make a delicious dinner with the groceries I purchased. Will use the service again and may try the delivery option in a pinch now that I’ve downloaded the app and created an account. Recommend this service for high risk individuals during this pandemic. As I watched the car in front of me arrive after me and hassling with everything, as I drove off with all I needed before them, I could only hope more people would take advantage of this service, not only at Stop and Shop but other stores as well. Thank you Stop and Shop for offering the online pick up option and helping keep my family and others safe. I will use this service even after the pandemic as it was super easy and...
Read moreI will never shop here again... I was harassed outside of the entrance by a couple who continuously asked me for money at the entrance and wouldn't take no for an answer. When I finally got past them and entered the store it smelled of urine- I walked in from the produce entrance and I walked in a straight line, past the customer service desk, and the bank until I reached the other entrance to go towards the bakery. The entire strip smelled of urine, all I went there for was a bread rolls and a spice that isn't sold at Market Basket... When I got to the register the cashier was just opening and very rudely said "I'm taking her first because she was on her way here first" I asked the other customer if I could ahead of her because her entire carriage was stacked to the top and of course she very nicely said yes... the cashier appeared disgusted that I was able to go before the other woman. I tried to make her smile by telling her that the other customer was nice and let me go before her and smiling at her, it didn't work. Not a good experience and I will not be returning. Between being harassed outside by a couple who appeared to be up to no good, the strong odor of urine when I was inside and then the rude cashier (who should be thankful that the self checkouts haven't replaced her job) I would rather save 30% on my groceries, be greeted with a smile and a pleasant odor and thanked for being a customer at Market Basket ... Sorry Stop & Shop Rodman St. , you need to step up your game... Get security at your entrances so your customers feel safe, and tell your cashiers that the customers are the reason they have a paycheck, otherwise you will lose...
