I spent $300 on a lizard and supplies calcium you name it I get 7 minutes away from fish bowl the tail drops in the box he was given to me inside. I called and she said this happens do XYZ so I do XYZ and it prolonged me keeping the lizard another week so now I’ve had him 2 weeks and return to fish bowl hoping I’d get a new lizard considering they sold me everything possible for this thing and my son was crazy happy with him I didn’t think it was anything I was doing temps were correct everything was perfect in his tank. I am 99% sure they sold me a sick lizard when I asked for a new one instantly got met with an attitude as if I’m supposed to spend $300 on a lizard and say it’s ok you can keep my money I’ll stay with the sick lizard and throw another $80 to try to get him healthy again: when the manager said she couldn’t help me she stated it was the healthiest baby they had so why isn’t he eating? That lizard for a child where is the 30 day guarantee if you stand by your product it be no issue. I dealt with Mackenzie she gave me attitude the second I walked in! It’s 2025 what do I owe fish bowl to let them sell me a sick lizard and keep the money I got BEAT. So I asked to speak to her manager Mackenzie called her and she screamed at McKenzie for trying to hand me the phone and said take me off speaker NOW. Wouldn’t even get on the phone with me. I will go to no end to get this heard I have 4k friends and 27k on TikToc spending $300 and being told they will not help because it been 2 weeks I called multiple times in the 2 weeks infact called day 1 of having him they said try this and that so it prolonged me even being able to return. My son is left with a sick gecko that was very pale and pathetic day 1 of having him. I spoke with animal instincts and even they were like wow 😮 I wish I would’ve went anywhere else because I don’t understand how anyone can rip someone off like they did what would I need $250 in supplies if the lizard dies it’s just so messed up! Do not understand any circumstances purchase from fish bowl they will stick you with the sick lizards and not do a damn thing...

Large variety of product and animals. However, there were many things I saw there today that concerned me. The bird room was filthy and had dust from their feathers all over the walls and floor, and smelt horrible. If the room was being mopped daily, like it should be, there would not be that amount of dust accumulating there. The second you walk into the store you can smell that there are rodents in there. I have owned mice, gerbils, and hamsters myself and know they do carry an odor but with daily cleaning the smell is unnoticeable. Many of the fish tanks are dirty and the majority of the tanks carrying smaller freshwater fish had at least a few dead fish in each tank. Why are they not being removed?? Not to mention the wall of puppies and the cages of older dogs being kept in the back, where they barked and barked on end. I doubt these animals are being properly trained and exercised, let alone being given enrichment. The puppies were all sleeping during the middle of the day and two of the white dogs, born in January who are over 6 months old living in these boxes had their faces pushed up to the small air vents in the back of the tank. One of them had red discharge from its eyes surrounding its muzzle and both dogs were panting. Another tank of puppies had loose stool in the bedding. Healthy dogs should have healthy poop. The owner replying to all of these reviews with attitude and defense rather than trying to better the business and being unphased by their public perception only shows how little they care for the actual health of the animals here. And before the owner responds with the same attitude to me as he has to many, claiming our opinions are “uneducated” I would like to note my 5 years of veterinary background, schooling, and work experience with various types of animal care. Please, please do not get your animal at this place! I have gotten multiple small animals there - and by multiple i mean 5 rats and also a budgie. Every rat died with in a few weeks of coming home! They were sick. Tonight I just got home from bringing the budgie to the emergency vet. The bird has an eye infection and a respiratory infection as well. Which also seems to be what the rats suffered from as well. Now, I know some people do not care about small animals but, out of the 6 animals i have gotten there ALL OF THEM WERE ILL. I should have never given this place a second chance. I will be going to Fall River's Animal control and finding out where i can get this place looked into. This place also sells puppies! So, even if their treatment of small animals does not concern you, the fact that they also have puppies exposed to illness should. Do NOT give this place business. I was laughed at when buying my rats and saying i wanted only females because i didn't want babies.I was given wrong information about how to keep rats. Birds and rats of both genders are in mixed groups even as babies so, you could be buying a pregnant animal without even knowing it. THEY DON"T CARE. I am sick that this place is allowed to exist and I am sick that I have given them any of my money. I will do everything i can to get this place looked into. I hope they change their ways and actually care about the animals. Try going in there and asking about the age of the animals. I did that and the seller just shrugged and said "i don't know" This place does not know about the animals, infections and illness in the animals are rampant and they will laugh at you for asking a question. I hope this place gets shut down really soon. DO NOT SHOP AT FISH BOWL AQUSRIUM & PET MART....
