I bought a ticket for a 3D movie on their website the other day, though later I was told that the movie was cancelled due to technical difficulties with the projector. When trying to get a refund for my tickets, I had to call the theater to request it. After suffering through a god awful automated voice machine that refused to skip ahead to the options and instead blathered on and on about their facebook, twitter and website, it told me to hang up and call the ticket booth with the number only provided on the options menu. (Why this number isn't on the website is beyond me.)
When I finally got an actual human on the phone, I was told that they couldn't electronically transfer the money back onto my card and that I actually had to go to the theater to get my refund. This is complete nonsense because they clearly have the ability to transfer money electronically if they have an online order option but they for some reason cannot transfer it back. Complete nonsense and is probably some sleazy business tactic to get me to come to the theater to see something else.
When I go to the theater the next day to get my refund, they tried on multiple occasions to give me a gift certificate instead of refunding me my money no matter how many times I said no. The worst part is when they only gave me back the money for the ticket and refused to give me back the money I spent for the online order fee. So I ended up losing money because of this whole ordeal. Read moreSo historically when I have gone to this theater it has been great; friendly staff, amazing seats, clean bathrooms etc. However. My friend and I went two nights ago and literally laughed at how bad everything was. We stood in line to get popcorn and drinks and the customer in front of us was having trouble with the tickets she apparently bought online. One employee was assisting her, while three others just leaned on the counter and watched. After a while of waiting I asked as politely as I could if maybe one of the leaning employees could get our order started (we wanted popcorn) so we wouldn't be late for the movie and they all just looked at me confusedly. After that, we went to get our drinks and laughed because the majority of the drink options were labeled as "out of order" (don't worry, apple juice was still available! (?)). I tried the Diet Pepsi, which wasn't labeled as "out of order" and it ran clear so I just took whatever I could. I'm not usually one to write bad reviews because I think most people only write bad reviews, but it looks like someone from the company replies to these so I want them to know that whatever is currently going on at that location...
Read moreThe first and last time I went here about a year ago, I was met with a rather unfriendly woman at the counter who insisted outside snacks could not be brought in and that it was company policy. The theater itself was rather subpar and did not serve the snacks I had been bringing as per my textural issues. I spent my entire movie worrying someone was going to steal my snacks because she forced us to leave them in the lobby under a table with a bunched of riled children. I would also like to add that the theater lobby was dirty and there were so many signs on the windows and door about stuff that wasn’t important to me that I was overloaded and didn’t read the singular small sign on them saying no outside food or drinks because of being overstimulated. The television was quite small too and watching my movie wasn’t that good of an experience itself. I will not be going back. I recommend Apple Cinemas...
